    Hello !

I find that the fan management in the bios is pretty bad as we have not much control of the behaviour/speed of the various fans connected to the motherboard.

Do you think that it's possible to mod the bios to get more control on the fan ?

I ask this question for a Z87X-D3H but the problem is the same for their other mobos.

    Thank you

Modded BIOS here, unfortunally has nothing with fans control.
      Maybe using EasyTune will help.

      Edit:
As always noted......without full spec.,is hard to give (proper) answer.

You can read more about fans....here:

The smartfan section of Easytune is crappy. And I don't alway use Windows.

I used to have Intel motherboards and in the lastest year's models, we have many options in the bios to tune the pwm fan behaviour (pwm min speed, pwm max speed, temp to try to maintain, which sensor interact with which fan, and so on...)

It has nothing to do with my other peripherals, it's just about the options available in the bios. I don't know if there are some settings hidden in the bios, and it's why I asked here. At least, I'd like to edit the "silent" fan speed curve.

btw : didn't found any useful information on overclock.net

Could someone please mod the new F8 BIOS for GA-Z87X-UD5H with the latest?

I loaded the new F8 beta and it looks promising....although it looks like the bus speed is not going to 100.00 just by setting "Manual" in BIOS, but will require probably setting slightly above 100.00.
But Memory Channel A is now displayed again on UEFI BIOS. That is good for those quick boots where you want to see if the RAM changes "stick".
