Is there any difference in running OEM cpu, the serials are different from retail. Cant wait to gut my pc get the smell out of it, smells like fire and pea. Snout, As soon as your pc comes on wack del, not tried on restart but from shutdown it works, I guess you just need to be quick, it says in bios usb enabled when ultrafastboot is on, so usb is there, if your using ps2, you need to enable the option to get keyboard at post. EDIT: Nope doesn't work dispite options being enabled, so if you restart and want the bios, you need the uefi firmware settings option in OS, and it still loads the ps2 driver when using fastboot/ultrafastboot, I don't like it, its pointless, what does it save, 1 second?. It really is pointless if you have everything set to uefi/efi.

At the moment im at work so i cannot test anymore until i get home in the morning.
I set everything to uefi etc / ultrafast boot / enhanced memory/ secure boot. My finger ended up being sore trying to hit the delete button and trying the F12 Method. Looks like Virtualfreds advice with a reset will be the only way back into the bios ? I will do a cmos reset and set mine back to normal boot when i get home and go from there.

Just press reset button (front of your case) to reboot in normal mode, no need to CMOS or unplug your PSU

Yeah - reset = diddly squat / nothing.
Looks like cmos reset is the only way in.

It is now clear... and push front panel reset immediatly on start doesn't help you to enter in BIOS ? (maybe this setting doesn't appear but is still working)

This is the proper way for ultrafastboot users in windows 8, I remember you saying you where windows 8 Snout, go to, change pc settings, update and recovery, recovery, then navigate to advance startup, ther you will have uefi firmware settings option which takes you straight to bios, this is why Microsoft gave you this option.

SHOOT - I keep forgetting about that way in Boe - Old School !
Anyway yes that works fine on ultrafastboot, and into bios ! Thanks.

Quick bench with all the updates on my Raid setup is pretty sweet. Wonder if we will ever see the option Rom 12.8 ? been some time now since any updates on the rst Option Rom.

I know its a little off topic - But make the SSD the priority buddy, I will never go back to Mechanical hard drives. Replaced all the laptops in the house with SSD drives - each one a couple of years old and they run brilliant now with SSDs inside.
VERY noticeable speed increase in the overall system.

So VirtualFred Option Rom 13? - What do you know buddy..

Like you I install SSD everywhere, then impossible to return with HDD for OS...

I read Pacman & Fernando don't believe in a RAID OROM 12.8, IRST 12.8 is for RAID OROM 12.7, as IRST 11.7 is for OROM 11.6.
Also Pacman think next release could be 13.****... but maybe we'll have to wait Z97 (which officially use RST 13) ?
