Re: Gigabyte latest bios
I had recently updated my UD5 board to F5g (I think. Can't remember for sure as I'm at work.) and can no longer OC with my usual settings: 19x200 with 1.4v vCore and 1.34 QPI, with 1600MHz spec DDR3. prime95 stable for hours.
The only way I can get up to my 3.8GHz setting is with 20x190, but that is not even stable. It'll lockup the second I run prime95. I don't plan on bumping up any voltages to get where I was.
I went ahead and reverted back to the F4 BIOS and have experienced the same results. ??? (I always load Optimized Defaults after a flash and have double-checked and double-checked again my settings.
So, what do you think happened? If you need more specs, let me know.
It would seem to most that the obvious culprit is that something changed in my settings. But, if there is a particular BIOS behavior that can contribute to this response, let me know.
kind regards,
MAJ
