      virtualfred,
could you make an updated F7 BIOS for the Z87X-UD5H?
I have had the best luck with F7....I can make F8a mod work but prefer F7 mod.
      Thanks!

        Modified with :
        ...
Intel PCI Accelerated SVGA BIOS 2158 to 2170
        ...
some of the issues I have dealt with since the board was new now are solved!

My Dell monitor went black for a second or two whenever for example the User Account Control dialog was entered in Windows or when other program functions enabled a dimmed window. After a short period, the screen entered its dimmed mode and everything worked as expected. Not really a severe bug, but irritating.

There were also some problems with scroll areas. After fast or large jumps in the scroll area graphic artifacts where left because the scroll region was not properly refreshed. I have not seen this after installing the new OROM.

As so many have said in different words before, you are really an asset for the TweakTown community, Virtu!

          Just note....
last 2 BIOS's for Z87X-OC....X07 & X08......display higher VID and Vcore in default, then earlier versions.

          My 4770K:
          X07 & X08............VID 1.137V....Vcore 1.140V
          X05;F7b;F6.......... VID 1.078V....Vcore 1.092V

Vcore for overclocking is similar,so no big difference.

            stasio,
Enabling Custom Key Management from Secure Boot would cause black screen. There is no way to enter Bios and OS (including resetting CMOS) except reflashing from Backup Bios.
I found out that many Gigabyte MB users encountered the same issue as me. Any suggestion?

                  • Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios - GA-X79-UP4 F5e Feedback

GA-X79-UP4 F5e Beta BIOS Feedback: I have Secure Boot enabled with all drivers, programs, and the OS up to date. I use RSTe with my Sammy SSDs in Raid0. Every once in a while this BIOS boots up to the failed overclocking screen. I load my saved Default settings profile, save & reboot, and it works fine again. The Turbo Boost still needs my workaround to work correctly. CPU tops out at 1.284V when running Prime95 at 3.8GHz. Memory still needs an extra 0.04V to be completely stable with XMP#1 and 1T at 1600MHz. With the CPU Base Clock manually set to 100.00MHz and the CPU idling down to 1.2GHz, the 100.00MHz Bus Speed can drop down to as little as 60.00MHz on its own. The boot up time to login screen has seemed to increase ever so slightly. Some explanations of settings are either too long to fit or not present at all. I move the mouse cursor to the top right of the screen and only use the keyboard to maneuver around.

Other than all of that, it runs smoothly for my needs.
