I think i will keep the F14c, it was running fine with Q6600 2.4GHz overclocked to 3.33GHz...

Edit: There is one advantage of the F15d - the ICH9 SATA ROM is newer, so it does faster disk detection on boot.
I still wonder if is possible to change ICH9 to ICH9R by flashing different ROM, but i will not mess more with it, because it would be bad if i brick it.
Perhaps you wanna try this :

      GA-P35-DS3 BIOS F15d mod

      Modified with :

Jmicron SATA RAID 1.06.59 to 1.07.28
      Realtek LAN 2.09 to 2.56

      Edit :
You'd better reset CMOS when you flash new BIOS version cause OC's settings can change.

I don't think you can apply DS3R BIOS to DS... another opinion ?

Again, one beep when it shuts down (???), two beeps at startup and it does not boot when i overclock it to same values like F14c (370MHz FSB).
I am aware i should clear CMOS, it might be the reason, but the switch is hidden under graphic card, which I am too lazy to remove. :)

Thanks anyway, but the main reason i was looking at mods was RAID on ICH9, i do not have the guts to flash DS3R BIOS to it, because it is my old gaming rig which will go to my sister.
It was running fine with F14c for the last 4 years or so, i will not mess with it more to keep it stable.
Shame i saved some bucks by not getting R version and getting Win7 Home Premium, which does not support software RAID. :)
I am putting the old 250GB drives to RAID, because based on SMART, they have bad sectors and 4.5 years of run.
3rd as backup for the RAID.
When it dies, it would be time to get her SSD. :)

BTW i have Samsung 840 EVO in my new rig and it is lightning fast with the Rapid mode.
Forced me into looking if i can speed up the old one with some ReadyBoost memory, i might get USB3 PCIE x1 card and throw USB3 stick (or two) into it, should work.
Also my new mobo (Z87-HD3) is a compomise - i want LPT port for external display and this was the only GB board suitable (except some mATX crap).

        Thanks again!

Can't you clear CMOS with a jumper that you can reach? My CMOS battery is hidden under my GPU on the X79-UP4 but the jumper can be accessed fairly easily, in case that's any help.

Virtualfred, I'm up and running with f4g modded BIOS, I installed it with FPT because I already had it setup. It flashed the first time and booted right up. I'm running a mild overclock of 4.3 on my i7-3820 at the moment, haven't tested BCLK yet but that's not really your department anyway, everything I've run looks good.

No need (but i have the F14c saved), i will keep it stock, no RAID on ICH9 anyway.
And i doubt there would be any performance or stability improvement, i seen the JMicron changelog and it does not seem significant for my use:
                ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/SATA_Con...ase%20note.txt
The Realtek is NIC firmware i guess, not audio. :)
I have no issues with LAN connection...

The clear jumper is even more close to VGA then the battery. :)

Thanks for trying, i guess the problem might be on my side with the clear.

Testing my memory out @ 1.5V with Prime95 right now. Needed it at 1.54V with prior BIOS'.

All is nice and stable @ 1.5V, but Turbo Boost isn't working.

Well the issue was with installation using Q-Flash, @BIOS, and EFI Flash, as all of the programs were outdated compared to this new batch of BIOS, but once I learned about FPT and the FTK I was able to flash them. But they were semifunctional even if a user got them installed, these are much better and F3g includes new update tools which solves the problem.

So to answer your question, yes it's the first one to work correctly in my humble opinion.

                    Thanks VirtualFred :)

And thanks to MacG32 for sharing with me the info to finally get a correct version of FPT that was compatible with my rig and BIOS.
