Re: Time for me to upgrade ??

Save BIOS profile and run IBT at default bclk, I am not sure about the Flops but they seem kind of low.
Make sure no other applications are running aside Core Temp(minimized) and let the computer idle for 5 minutes before running it.

      Have a good night.

Gflops is all that matters, just so you don't have to waste time writing down the residual & residual (norm) numbers

Re: Time for me to upgrade ??

It changes BIOS settings or just run this way?
Try booting cold again and see if it happens, could be bit more VTT and DVID is needed.
Instead of DVID you can set vcore to a hard value. This mean it won't be lowered when CPU is idle, not that big difference in power consumption though.

Re: Time for me to upgrade ??

ok, cold booted..........big red box in bios screen says : "The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking or changes of voltages. Last settings in the page may not coincide with current H/W states."

<Press any key to continue> brings me to current status page........... bclk 133, cpu freq 2800, memory 1333 (10x), vcore 1.12, dram 1.568v, qpi freq=4800(36x), uncore freq=2400(18x), turbo ratio 21, memory 9-9-9-24

looking into the bios, all other bios pages are unchanged from last night when i went to bed......(and didn't change anything past when i messaged you last time, last nite) .........

then windows loads......and runs with the alterted , (evidently default..) settings

Please check task manager and see how many CPUs are loaded during IBT, it may be smart and only run just 1 thread on each physical core.

Mo meed for max, run 2048MB or 4096MB, but it's important to know how many threads are running.
For 4 threads 512/768 per thread is enough.
To be able to compare we need a run at stock settings (aside VTT).
Also try with and without HT see if there's any difference.
