I wasn't planning for this upgrade at all, so I'm just buying one or two parts every pay. In two weeks I'll be up and running. Until then I will be reading everything I can find on this UD7, and overclocking the i7.
I will post up some results as well.

Yes, that's what I am hoping for. I plan to just use aircooling for a month or so.

I was looking at that, and it probably does a nice job.
I don't think my ram will with a cooling kit will fit under there though.

Maybe. I have the OCZ Blade 2000 and fits with room to spare, the Blade ram is a sensible design. The Reaper (OCZ) on the other hand with its heatsink that looks like a bull bar on a Hummer probably wouldn't...

Thanks for all of the info guys! I have this board on the way and will be using it to test storage products for all of 2010. It sounds like the board works really well. Hopefully I will get some time to run the old Mach II GT on it and see what she can do when pressed.

you cant ghost an os from one computer to another different pc it wont work due to all the different mb drivers from old pc,you have to do a clean install and then swap all your user files over,as for your sony drive it might need a bios update to fix it
