I'm posting this for any one using the Gigabyte Assassin 2. The G1.Assassin 2 - F12y BIOS is complete and total crap. I'm a computer person I know these things. I installed it and did the obligatory tweaks only to find out that it is a half baked disaster. I went back to the latest Gigabyte official BIOS rev W and everything is back to it's normal 4.3 Ghz OC stable. I wonder if the people who are publishing these BIOS's even have the hardware to test it on??? Beware and don't bother flashing the G1.Assassin 2 - F12y. Seriously and if you do (actually own Gigabyte Assassin 2) respond to this to let others know of your "success" after installing the "latest Beta BIOS".
Probably you didn't read notice in post #1 (OP)......

I'm adding some valuable information to this thread... I tested Gigabyte Assassin 2 F12Y BIOS. It is B R O K E N. Don't waste your time. Like I stated before I'm just trying to save other Assassin 2 owners the trouble since it doesn't seem any one else has tested or was brave enough too on an actual motherboard. Sheesh. Oh and your welcome.
Then take it down or at least *note that it has been tested and it is not working? This thread is like a Tatooine Sarlacc sand monster. Waiting in the desert of knowledge sucking in unsuspecting victims and digesting bad information for a thousand years!
It's hard to call that an excuse with the thread named like it is.
Seeings you are "a computer person"(your words), the inclusion of BETA in the Topic should be sufficient.
It's not a new term after all and its connotation is rather well known whether one reads the caution in the opening post of this thread or not.
That said, in the future please let's carry on with/in a more constructive and helpful dialog.
Thank you.
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.
#2 - Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.
From what I gathered, everything that's known about changes gets posted, so you do not have to ask about this. It really is often just a single line or most often nothing.
