For those of you wich no longer get support ...all you need to do is get in touch on support website ...open a ticket ...they'll check your concerns and mod a bios for you ...just cause the bios are no longer made for certain boards doesn't mean they wont help you ...ive had a ticket open now for 3 years .... from x58 mobo to x79 ...and they've always helped ...im currently waiting now for some bugs to be ironed out. You would have to blame intel for changing chipsets and sockets lol</snip>

Seriously ? When I asked to Gigabyte official support page to release a BIOS with update latest CPU microcode and ME Firmware to solve VT-d freezing bug they didn't bother at all. They just replied in a quite rude manner and didn't provide any help. Years ago for my old Gigabtye motherboards I indeed received immediate helpful support from them. Now no more. Gigabyte still makes good hardware but with such bad customers support and BIOS releases it's not worth buying anymore. Good hardware is useless if the BIOS software is full of critical bugs. And if Intel keeps releasing updates to OEMs other than their own motherboards then it's just a shame when any OEM drops product support. And Gigabyte is dropping support even on flagship expensive motherboards after just 12-18months at most. Not even 3 full years of support for products that should get updates for 5 years minimum.

OEM manufacturers like Gigabyte are not a charity organization and they surely have plenty of money to provide support to their customers. Also if a manufacturer can't provide proper support to its customers and pay the needed number of qualified coders, engineers and so on then it should just declare bankruptcy and quit the business. Period.

Mac, I'm sorry but that pretty much is my experience too on at least three occasions.

When I opened a ticket they gave me pat answers and apparenty did not even read my previous support posts, recommending me with something I had already tried in the beginning.

When I went to the CeBit Fair 2012 in Hannover, Germany, I managed to get into the dealer's area where their only fair stand would be. After promising me to look into the matter and giving me a business card, I sent him the problem description via email and the person never replied.

On the phone I was rudely brushed off by the German support. They told me straight out that OCCT is not known to them but claimed my RAID crash issue was caused by "overloading the system" with OCCT (Oh? Just a minute ago they didn't know that program. Even if that's possible, why does it always crash the system the exact same way via storport.sys? Gimme a break people, I had this issue tested out over months) and suggested me to use Prime 95. Which doesn't load the system as much as Prime 95, evidently. Later it showed that the microcode was responsible.

No, sorry. They apparently don't want to listen. The only reason why I am here is that Stasio is being helpful here with his connection to GA and the success we had with our own mods.

I understand completely. Whenever I'm speaking with an idiot in customer service, I demand to speak with their supervisor or department head right away. Once that exchange takes place, then it's smooth sailing from there. Sometimes I've been known to do that within less than 30 seconds of a conversation. I have no time to waste on basic troubleshooting procedures and support folks that have no idea what I'm really talking about. They're busy searching their computer for some kind of an answer and I have no patience for that or anyone that hates their own job and is rude to me. I feel your pain man.

User who are experiencing crashing problems - First update BIOS with the latest one if a newer one is there...!!!

The GA-Z87X-UD5H comes to me with the F5 BIOS and had no problems so far. I used USB 2.0 and/or 3.0 devices (HDD and Thumbdirve). Graphics Card is NVidia 770 GTX. I played games with no trouble.
I installed the F7 BIOS and all my trouble starts after that. My PC boots up very slow and crashes in all Games I play. I installed the F8D (BETA) bios which solved all my problems. Now I hope the final release is more optimized.

Good and deducated RAM for 4th Generation Intel Core Processors...as I know...no problem.

Does anyone know why there is still no new BIOS for Gigabyte Z87MX-D3H? New BIOS for Z87X-D3H (F8) is available. Old F5 is very unstable with Haswell and XMP ram profiles.
