Im now using the new F7 bios for my GA-ZI70X-Gaming 7 M/B and one thing i've noticed straight away is that the default voltage has changed for the volt core on my cpu from the f6 bios it is now a little lower under load on my i7 6700k @ stock , on the f6 bios the volt core would go up to 1.35-1.38 when stress testing and now with the f7 bios 1.27-1.32 this is using Gigabytes Intel Extreme Tuning Utility .

I haven't tried any overclocking just yet, as for the next few days i will just run everything @ stock ,just to make sure the new bios is all good before i go tinkering .
If i notice anything else or have any problem with the system i will report back

Ok i hate to quote myself but i couldn't wait to overclock , at last i no longer have a cold start issue when i've overclocked the cpu , when i was on the f6 bios any overclock i applied would work great from within windows O/S but when i shut down then restarted i would be presented with the overclocked failed screen asking me to set optimized defaults or enter the bios

Finally @ 4.5 with 1.27 volts using the adaptive voltage so everything is clocking down as it should when not in heavy use all without the cold start problem . at last im making use of my i7 6700k :D

F7 is working for me as well. i5-6600K, using the 4.4 Ghz "CPU Upgrade" overclock. FCLK set to 1 Ghz.

On X99-UD4 I cannot increase Uncore (Ring) Voltage... MoBO running Bios vF20..
It stays @1,005V, when I tried to increase to 1,15V. Easy Tune says its set 1,15V, but MoBo reports only 1,005V...Any idea why?

Switched to F8D BIOS, but I don't see any difference or new options. Does anyone have any idea what's new in F8d?

oh well thanks for looking i guess F9a is the latest version, you dont happen to know whats new in that version
as in i use F7D at the minute, is there anything significant to warrant updating from F7d to F9a ??
