GA-Z97X-SOC Force - F9b BIOS is giving me boot loops as soon as I change BIOS settings away from optimized defaults, on a Core i7-5775C.

The loop occurs just as Windows attempts to start, which results in some attempts of the boot triggering Windows Automatic Repair to engage (during which the system will also soft-reset, continuing the boot loop).

Additional problem: Reverting BIOS back to F8 using motherboard QFlash does not fix the boot loops.

Probably wrong setting applied.
Clear_CMOS maybe help.
So far with many users no problem.

CLR_CMOS button used, then updated to F9b again. The boot loops continue. Even loading optimized defaults after changing BIOS settings does not solve the boot loops, so then CLR_CMOS must be used again to hard-reset BIOS settings to default.

I ran a CHKDSK on my Windows installation (C:\) and everything appears to be OK. Notably, I also tried booting Windows 10 media creation tool from USB, and I triggered the same reset at the beginning of its boot.

In all cases (both in BIOS F9b and after reverting to F8) I am able to slowly change minor BIOS settings like changing fan speed and enabling XMP for my RAM, but it takes 1-2 extra boot loop attempts for the boot to be successful. Other overclocking features do not appear to boot with much chance of success. Before taking the steps to change BIOS to F9b, I had a fully overclocked setup with CPU at 4.2GHz and various voltage setting changes.

Not sure what all it fixes, but it's been working great for me personally. I actually updated the bios even further with the latest modules using UBU and have had no issues yet.

You might wanna try enabling 'Power Loading' in the bios to see if it resolves the reboot after wake from sleep issue.

I flashed F6b UEFI for Z170X-Gaming 5.

I have no idea what changed. So far so good.

Do you have changelogs to share with us?

Do you know when Gigabyte plans to enable SST (SpeedShift) for their Z170 based motherboards? Gigabyte support sent me a special version a while ago with SST enabled, but that version is quite old and had stability issues (as all early version of Z170 BIOSes did). I have a Z170X-UD3 and would love a BIOS with the stability of F6 with SST enabled.

Hi! I've searched high and low--I can't find any concrete information. I have a GA-Z87X-UD5H (golden oldie).

There are 3 "latest" BIOSes floating around

• F10 (in the OP)
• F10c (latest Gigabyte beta with "Enhanced Intel K-sku performance")
• F9 (latest Gigabyte stable)

What is the recommended option here? I've overclocked my i5-4670K to 4.4GHz @ 1.370V and wouldn't mind "enhanced performance". But, what is enhanced performance? And is the F10c listed on Gigabyte's website different than the F10 in the OP? Is anybody using the F10 or F10c BIOSes on this board? Any major bugs? The only person I found using F10c said it made his system "relay unstable" and his wireless mouse/KB kept disconnecting.

Or am I the first brave pioneer and should just flash it?

Any idea if they are working on bios for X99-Phoenix SLI ? It's kinda laggy when I am in bios only complaint so far about this board.
