GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

Hi all, just wanted to first of all say thank you to stasio for the continuous updates regarding gigabyte BIOS'. You're a lifesaver man!

I've made an account to ask about an 'issue' im having with my B550M AORUS ELITE on the Official release of the F12 bios. Sometimes, when I turn my PC on, the only thing that displays is a black screen with a white '_' in the top left. The only thing that resolves it is to either reset the PC via the reset switch or turn it off and on again, after which, it boots up perfectly normally.

This '_' usually appears before the gigabyte logo as well as the 'DEL to enter bios' text at the bottom of the screen. I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this, and if so, how did you fix it? Everything else appears to be working fine with my board, such as USB ports and ethernet, so I see no reason to RMA the thing.

One thing to note is that I think this only started occuring after the F12 update. I was previously on F11a I believe, and I don't think I had any issues on that BIOS (but again, I could be wrong)

The most logical thing for me to do would probably be to flash F13 and see if it still persists, but I kind of want to wait until it's at a full release before doing so. I have tried going through my power settings but, nothing seems to be on or disabled that would make a difference. It's worth pointing out that every time I turn my PC off before the following day, I also turn it off by the mains... could that be a potential cause?

My power supply is an EVGA 650w G2 (Bought in September 2016... maybe that's a potential cause?), I have an R5 3600 and GTX 1060 as well as 16 gigs of Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB, if that helps at all!

I've got the X570 Aorus Elite... it always boots to a black screen with a cursor like '_' in the top left and sits there for exactly 10 seconds before the Gigabyte logo and 'DEL' option appears. I had never seen this behavior with earlier Gigabyte boards. I can't be sure but I suspect the delay in my case occurs while the external USB drives ( I have 3) are being scanned by the BIOS.

Gigabyte Technical Support Team came through today with the F9k BIOS for Z390 Aorus Xtreme [Fixed Settings for Disabling 10 GIG LAN]

5900x + x570 aurous master

The problem with BIOS f33a(agesa 1.2.0.0) is stable up to memory 3800mhz but WHEA error in memory 3866 and above. Hopefully this will be resolved in the next BIOS.

You are lucky, as from today they are 1 week off......Chinese New Year....

It seems that I am not so lucky, because the problem with the previous F9j bios (the option for disabling 10 GIG LAN bit working) is still very much present on this new F9k BIOS, Already tested it from every possible way there is and already issued a ticket with Gigabyte Technical Services.

stasio if you have any link with Gigabyte whatsoever , please do me a solid and let them know about it before you leave office for holiday. Because waiting almost 3 weeks for such a simple fix and then not getting the actual error fixed with that fix is untenable.

Sorry but could you be more specific... what is "cam" in BIOS ?

Hello everyone, I have some problems here in my motherboard GA-Z77P-D3 v1.1, when I bought from a third party retailer I got a BIOS that was named "F8", accordingly from the year 2013, and I had to update the BIOS in recent days, but I discovered that this BIOS theoretically doesn't exist! On the official Gigabyte website the latest BIOS is named "F8e" still in Beta, I'm confused now becaused I searched on the GB forums(user by the name of ex58, I guess is @stasio) and discovered that this BIOS existed here. Can anyone help me on this?


I couldn't find on the Gigabyte BIOS on this list...

I would appreciate if anyone send me the latest BIOS file from this motherboard to download.

I have the same problem can run 2000 no problem but event viewer shows WHEA erors

I looked at my keyboard after posting and also figured that it might be CMS... but disabling that option had no effect,

I don't know if it's an ARP issue or not, but I had random LAN disconnects until I enabled the Network Stack in the UEFI. I haven't had a single disconnect since. YMMV.

Spoke too soon. Had to disable/enable the ethernet adapter again today.

To add a bit more weight to this: tried disabling fast startup within windows, and so far I haven't had this issue come back. It's also off in the BIOS. Maybe both options have to be switched to on to avoid conflicts?

Worked for me (so far at least) so might be worth trying for you?
