      Basically, there's still not a huge demand for DX9 yet.
      There are a few titles out there, but the choice is limited for now.

          Really?, i haven't heard of any DX9 title shipping. Is Planetside DX9? What are some of the DX9 titles?

                              From what I've seen lately it would appear that both ATI and Nvidia are almost mirroring each other, here are the latest
                              (rumoured) specs.

                              NV40: 0.13u process, 200m+ transistors, DX9.1 support, Q3/2003-Q1/2004 release
                              R400: 0.13u process, 200m+ transistors, DX9.1 support, Q3/2003-Q1/2004 release*
                              NV50: 0.09u process, 300m+ transistors, DX10 support, 2005 release
                              R500: 0.09u process, 300m+ transistors, DX10 support, 2005 release

                              Reportedly both ATI and Nvidia want to skip the 0.11u process, and move straight on to a 90 nanometer core.
