        GA-Z77X-UD5H BIOS F16c mod6 light (Rev 1.1)

Here's your "light" version with Atheros PCIE Ethernet ROM 2.0.6.6 deleted... 74kB free space instead of 12kB. Hoping it will be enough for your project .

Hello Virtualfred! I've flashed to this modded F12J version but i'm experiencing strange behaviour when overclocking the CPU e.g. when i set it to 45x100 the BIOS set the frequency to 4.0Ghz!?!?!
Checking the CPU micro-code revision with HWInfo i've no info about.
Would you be so kind to verify if this Mod3 contain the Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.28 as expected or is it "empty" as HWInfo and Gigabyte BIOS show?
If so, would you provide a corrected Mod with the missing part (CPU Micro-Code) and updated ROM's?

Thank you in advance for your patience and time that you'll deserve to my request.

          Cheers,

            Try this: z77xup5th_mod3.zip

What I did was delete the other microcodes that weren't needed (Gigabyte included some for mobile processors?). I also updated the Intel Boot Agent PXE from 1.4.10 to 1.5.40.

I have now moved to GA-Z77X-UD5H F16c mod6 and things are normal again but does doing this also revert the ME firmware back to 8.1.30.1350?
Virtualfred, Does this mean that there is an issue with GA-Z77X-UD5H F16c mod7 (rev1.0 and 1.1) I have ME 8.1.40 flashed with 16c mod6. Should I jump or is the funky thing a proven issue?

              Thanks.

BIOS with ME firmware 8.1.40.1416 have variable behavior... sometimes it works (Stasio tested it with succes on his Z87X-OC, it also works on my Z77X-UD3H and UD5H)... sometimes there's a BCLK issue... so I prefer to advise the mod6

Thanks Virtualfred for revising the Mod3 BIOS.
Something strange has occured infact when i've flashed, like every other flash, i've done a clear CMOS pulling out the battery for almost 10 minutes.
When i've powered the PC there were 3 boot-up and shut-down and then the showed BIOS screen logo was the one of second BIOS that have an old version and the PC stucked with a 6W BIOS debug LED error code.
Doing another clear CMOS didn't help and the situation was exactly the same and so i switched to the "backup BIOS" that didn't work because the motherboard was doing the same as described.
I was a bit disappointed and scared about the bricking of the motherboard but i've done the last try reassembling the RAID controller that i use to handle RAID (3Ware 9690SA) that was in use when i've flashed the BIOS (i've removed it with the VGA to pull out the CMOS battery) and when i powered the machine the motherboard booted "normally"...
I've flashed to the latest official BIOS (F11), removed the 3Ware 9690SA, now i'll flash the backup BIOS to the F11 version and try the F12J revised by SolidBladez for the main BIOS and i'll give a second try to the RAID controller.
If the 3Ware 9690SA is the problem i'll trash it...

Thank you mate for your appreciated help and support.

                      Have a nice day.

                      Cheers,

                                hello,

thank you for your great work. I would be very happy if you could make a modified Bios for the GA-Z87-HD3?

                                many greetings
