The updated Intel Raid Rom 11.6.0.1624 seems to be working fine in Windows 7 64-bit, in combination with version 12.0.01013 beta Intel RST driver.
Question: Is there some method of double-checking the Intel Raid Rom version while actively running Windows?
Sorry if I'm to sound like a noob but I'm out of the loop for quite some years...
Anyway, basically I have an old (X58) Gigabyte motherboard, is it accurate to say that modified bios can give trim support to my X58 even though I have raided SSDs on it?
Since disk speed is an absolute to that setup (it's a server) trim (on raid 0) would be a godsend so -yeah- should I simply flash the modified bios for my mobo and install the latest IRST or is trim too much to expect out of it?
On my bord, P45 - ICH10R with 11.6 orom and 11.6 RST driver doesn't work ( i tried it with 11.5 orom and 11.5/6 RST driver and its the same ), since is the same south bridge like the one on my board im sure you are going to get the same result as me. Since you want speed you need to do some testing, some ppl. say that 11.2 orom and drivers offers more performance than 11.5/6 orom.
