        Intel's RST(e) drivers v12.5.0.1066 don't support TRIM in RAID0:

After having built a RAID0 array using the Intel EFI RAID SataDriver v12.5.0.1815 and done a fresh install of Win8 x64 onto my Z77 system, I can confirm your findings:
The newest Intel RAID ROM resp. SataDriver v12.5.0.1815 both do support TRIM in RAID0 for Z77 chipsets, but the RST(e) RAID drivers v12.5.0.1066 WHQL obviously do not support this feature at all!
Just a simple downgade of the Intel RAID driver to v12.0.0.1082 brings the TRIM in RAID0 feature back.
So your and my test results explain, why the P67 and Z68 users, who had flashed my "Especially modified Intel RAID ROM v12.5.0.1815 with TRIM in RAID0 for P67 and Z68 systems", reported, that TRIM in RAID0 didn't work for them. It was not the ROM, but the drivers.

Thank you very much for your tests and your feedback!

        Regards

Thank you, downgrading now :) I don't even know why I have updated the drivers... I haven't even read the change log... I just got into the routine of doing it...

I was forced to recover for backup bios.
I cannot say what goes wrong but I will not try on the other bios because it has no dual bios.

Did you test that Mod ????
Have you used the JM 1.07.28 Orom in RAID Mode ?
JMicron Orom 1.07.28 works fine on Most MBs as far as I know.
I don't mind doing a new Mod but I don't want to have to do it twice if possible.
                      Feedback would be helpful.

Can you fix, there is no option ROM 1066, it's 12.5.0.1815, so wondering if you have the 12.5 or 12.0 option ROM ? TY.

                        P.S. It's not 12.0.0.1083, it's 12.0.0.1082 iastorA, and F .sys. Driver.

@ NoJuan999: Sorry, I personally only use the JMicron SATA port occasionally as an eSATA port for a single external drive.
So: either version of the JMicron firmware should be fine, as far as my interests go.
As far as the Intel RST firmware: don't know whether the very latest 12.xx Intel firmware would even "fit", due to the EP45-UD3R's smaller bios storage capacity.
So: any 12.xx firmware update for that board would just be something "nice to have", but not essential. I know that Gigabyte themselves will never be updating those several year-old bioses.

@ NoJuan999: Thanks: flashed your modded bios, and works fine initially, except that: while attempting subsequently to install either the v.12.0.xx or v. 12.5.xx RST driver, the error message "platform not supported" appears. And: RST driver v. 11.7.xx will install, but will BSOD upon system re-start.
Maybe the P45 chipset is deliberately limited by Intel, as far as any upgrade path for the RST firmware?
So: had to re-boot using F8 + "Last known good configuration".
(Bios is set to AHCI mode, Windows 7 64-bit).
Another data point: the initial boot screen shows an AHCI bios v. 1.20E. Is there perhaps an update available for the AHCI firmware?
Anyway: it would seem that on the P45 chipset, the RST firmware and the AHCI firmware are kept as separate firmwares.
The Z77 chipset seems to incorporate the AHCI firmware as part of the Intel RST firmware.
I don't recall having seen a separate AHCI bios as being part of the Z77 bios firmware.
                              Is that accurate?

I can put whatever Intel Raid ROM version you want in it.
10.1.0.1008 (85k) might be the best chioice, v8.0.0.1039 (64k) was the original Rom in that BIOS.
Are you actually running a RAID Setup on the Intel controller ???
If not the RAID rom isn't even being used and all this is really pointless.

As for the AHCI Rom that's the newest that works in your BIOS, the same one I have in my P55A-UD4P MB.
And yes the AHCI and RAID rom are two Separate Roms in your GA-EP45-UD3R BIOS.
