Try checking your ME Firmware. Usually problems like that and losing unlocked multi's are because of ME firmware going bad or being incompatible, i.e. using ME8 firmware with a BIOS that supports ME7 firmware or ME7 firmware with a BIOS that supports ME8 firmware.

I just checked it with Z77X-UD3H F20a mod3's BIOS, same base and same content, and no problem with BCLK setting. Could you flash it again with Q-flash ?

Did you also check MEI version with MEinfo ?

          Hey Boe
Have you managed to flash your Assassin with the MEI Firmware to 8.1.40 ?
I have tried several methods now but without success. I,m running Windows 64 8.1 preview edition. i keep getting errors of one sort or another.
          It will just not take.

With Meinfo it flashes up quickly and an error text file shows up saying: Error 9470: Fail to load driver (PCI access for Windows). Also when I try to flash to the new ME version I get an error saying

I've a Z77X-UP5TH and recently i bought a Z77X-UP4TH (i love UP MoBos for their VRM... ) and i use them with 2 Sandy Bridge (Core i5 2550K and Core i7 2600K) under custom watercooling and "obviously" heavily overclocked.

I've tested many Beta BIOS and i must conclude that there is something wrong with Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.29...
When i flashed beta BIOSes with Rev. 29 MicroCode @ same conditions and BIOS settings i loose stability and when i rolled back to previous used BIOS with Rev. 28 MicroCode i recovered stability instantly.

For this reason i've two special requests for you:

                  1) For the Z77X-UP5TH is it possible to have the F12j mod2 but with the previous Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.28)?

                  2) For the Z77X-UP4TH is it possible to have the F9 (latest and official from GB and for me most stable BIOS) with your modified splash logo and all latest ROMs but with the previous Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.28?

If removing Ivy E1(06A9) CPU-MicroCode Rev. 19 let gain some small space that can help in updating ROMs to even newer version or simply have less issues doing the BIOS mod, you can remove it because for sure i won't buy Ivy Bridge in future (too hot, i wouldn't delid them and from SB there isn't a real improvement in term of features and performances that can justify the IB CPUs).

I thank you in advance for your kindness and time that you'll deserve to my requests.

                  Have a nice week-end!

                  KK
                  Hi Virtualfred!,
if you have time to spend for my request, would you be so kind to mod these two BIOSes (Z77X-UP5TH F12j mod2 + Z77X-UP4TH F9 + both with Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.28) adding the latest ME Firmware V.8.1.40.1416 directly into BIOS?
I would appreciate so much because i've some issues flashing the Modded BIOS + the ME Firmware from Windows.
If you encounter space problems in managing the MODs you can use your BIOS modified splash logo that I really like.

Thanks a lot for your patience and disponibility.

                  Good evening,

                  KK

Strange ! So... could you download again my F20a mod3 and put this fresh one on your USB stick, load default value in BIOS, save and exit, flash BIOS, then load default value again... and try again... thanks.

Cool, windows 8 is very security conscious, tiles don't work if you disable admin, so this is the best way, glad it worked for you also.
