Sorry for being late but I finally managed to include MEI firmware 8.1.40.1416 directly in BIOS

      Tested on backup BIOS :

Intel Legacy RAID for SATA - 12.7.0.1936
Intel UEFI RAID SataDriver - 12.7.0.1936
      ME Firmware 8.1.30.1350 to 8.1.40.1416

      Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.29
      Ivy E1(06A9) CPU-MicroCode Rev.19
      Modified splash logo

Don't be afraid, your MB will need to shut down and restart 3 times to apply new settings (instead of 1 time - first long, second very short and third long shutdown/restart).

**NOTE : ME Firmware 8.1.40.1416 should be flashed... oups ... USELESS !

I had tried many firmware and done with Via_USB3HUB_FWUpgrade_V0.41_VL810_0960.zip (Via Support)

Edit : Don't forget to turn off, unplug AC, press Power few seconds, replug power, then restart to see new version in Via tool.

Perhaps, you can try VL811 firmware but it don't recognize my Z77X-UD5H rev1.0's chip (VL810 for me).

When I run the program it doesn't have a GUI like in the example, it just gives me a command prompt as posted above.

                      Do you get the GUI?

Also, my firmware version appears to be "83E1" but I can't find that in the change log so maybe it just isn't compatible?

Windows 8 has the drivers, those VIA refuse to install.
These are the first two lines of the device manager (USB\ROOT_HUB20&VID8086&PID1E2D&REV0004
) but only VIA Update Tool seems to be able reading the firmware.

Hi, thanks for the ga z77 d3h mod 4 bios. I have been testing it through out today. I have noticed that the bus speed is greyed out in the bios and also locked at 99.8mhz while in windows. Do you know why this is?
