    Re: Little help

IDK if E8300 is that great overclocker and quite sure it won't do 4GHz, E8400 may not either with this board

      Re: Little help

Well I've always seen 8300/8400 overclock about the same @ 4Ghz easy, but ya probably not on this board, P35 or P45 would be better, with P45 being the best for it.

Maybe I'm confused though, it's hard to keep track of what CPU's can do what, since Intel has a new CPU lineup or new boards so often!

                  Re: Little help

Doesn't seem to be possible at all. This would involve moving data blocks from one disk to another and also altering the file system itself

                    Re: Little help

Need some help, been awhile since i installed a Raid 0 setup. Im going to run 2 160gb raptors. I know i need the raid drivers from gigabyte, do i have to run them on a floppy, or can i burn a disc ?. Im insalling windows 7, so is it still f6 during loading of windows and then install drivers ?. I think i have to configure the raid setup, isnt there a F something during logo screen i need to push to set the drives in the raid 0 config ??? thanks again guys you been a great help.

                      Re: Little help

I think it's should be possible to load them from a usb flash-drive if the setup will detect it(didn't detect mine).

EDIT: and as far as i can remember it wasn't F6 but you have option to choose drivers.

                        Re: Little help

I think on my board i have to hook up the 2 raid drives to the purple sata ports to make it work, then control G and setup the raid in the raid bios, maybe LSDMEASAP can confirm this.. I have to format the usb flash drive to put the drivers on it FAT32 ?

                          Re: Little help

Ah, You need to change SATA mode to RAID then boot and press Ctrl+I for the raid setup utility.
