    Re: Little help

I used LSMD settings in template in this thread, it worked great, no problems at all, now all of sudden i cant change the fsb. Its reading my cpu as a 1066 fsb cpu, its a 1333 fsb, so it dont matter what i change the fsb setting to, it resorts back to 266 fsb.

If i set fsb to 500 x8, it will load and reset it to 266 in cpuz, if i set it to 200fsb, it will show 266 in cpuz. I will post the settings that were working perfectly fine until today. I know cpuz is reading it right, cuz when i run super pi im getting like 24 sec on 1m, with my settings there were working yesterday im getting 15.876.

      Re: Little help

Try clearing CMOS, battery out and CLR_CMOS pins shorted for 30 minutes.
Turn the PSU off and discharge the capacitores by pressing power button before you do.
I doubt the board can do 500MHz FSB.

BTW what CPU cooler do you have? add it to your signature.

        Re: Little help

Ok i will try that. When i first put the cpu in this board, it said 333 x 8, which is 2.66 mgz, so it read the cpu correctly, then i overclocked it and it ran fine and showed the settings correctly. Now its reading the cpu as a 266 x6, and it dont matter what i set in bios it goes right back to 266x 6 or x8. I did try clearing cmos before to no avail, but i will try again, this is why i dont like buying used boards and cpu.

            Re: Little help

It happens sometimes mostely with P35 boards and older, most of the times clearing CMOS fix it.

Maybe it moved when you cleared CMOS? make sure it is secured in it's slot.
                Maybe longer clear of CMOS.

I reseated it and it still is blue, i then took out battery and cleared cmos again, now all is good, thanks for your help Chike. From what i have read this board will do 500fsb, and about 475 stable, thanks again.

                        PC-8000 CAS 4? I don't think so.
I hope you are aware that all OCZ memory is now declared EOL which probably means their liftime warrenty expired.

End of life, OCS does not manufactur memory anymore.

Clear CMOS often fixes odd issues, so when you run into funky things that you can't fix, that's what you should always try first

What model OCZ are you getting?

Ok i will remember that if something goes buggy again. Im getting these OCZ PC2 8000 DDRII SDRAM Titanium Alpha VX2, there micron d9s, i guess there 6400s factory overclocked from OCZ, they will do about 1040 mgz cas 4 from what i have read. I got them off ebay for $10.
