Best straps are B and D really, but A and C will allow lower tRD (If your BIOS has this). But if you are under 400 FSB stick to B or A/C if you can run them, D is only helpful if above 400 FSB and only needed if you can't run B when above 400 FSB

Of course, it all depends on if your CPU can run the other straps too, and what FSB you are using

Easiest overclock i have ever done, thanks again. My new question is will this chipset run ddr2 1200 mgz ? , thinking about buying some gskill ddr2 4gb 1200 mgz. This board and processor are a vast improvement from my pentium 4 board.

Nice to hear! Ya, all boards up to P35 are super easy to overclock!

I'm not sure if that chipset can run 1200? You can try with your current memory and see, just set very loose timings and see if you can find a FSB and memory strap combination that it will work on. You may need high Vtt and Vdimm to test, but set memory timings 666-20 or 777-24 and that should help you be able to find out if the chipset can do it, the memory should be able to with those loose timings no matter what kit it is really.

Thanks i will try that. I have a new problem, my bios wont hold a overclock. Dont matter what i set in the bios, fsb, memory speed etc, the bios just sets my fsb at 266, my processor at 2.1 mgz, and my ram at 266 mgz, what is going one. I have tried to change the fsb, and memory speed, and save to cmos and then run it, but it just goes right back to above settings ????????????????????/

COU-Z text report, it's in CPU-Z about tab, save to disck and attach the file in manage attachments (Go Advanced).

Try standard timings 5-5-5-15 and all the rest auto.
If you have SMM 2.00D try using it instead 2.00B.

Tried all auto, it shows 266 fsb, cpu running at 1.5 mgz, what in the heck is going on, i think the cpu is bad???????????

Please post the full settings you have tried and failed.

Your CPU VID is 1.35v so you definately need more than that, 1.4v+.
