Well i got the P45 ud3p that Lsdmeasap refered me to, i also picked up a brand new set of gskill pi 2x2gb ddr2 9600 memory kit, and its brand new never opened. The memory is next to impossible to find these days, i got very lucky on ebay, its never been opened, i had the guy end the auction.

The i7 stuff was adding up to much money for now, so i will be back in 3-4 days will need help overclocking it, thanks for all your help.

There are 2 SATA controlers on this board, the ICH10R(Intel chipset) and the JMicron chip so called GSATA2.
The GSATA2 is not that great so you can just disable it if you don't need it or use it for optical drive(s) in IDE mode.

Ok i got the raid 0 working fine. I want to overclock this thing to around 3.7 mgz 500 + fsb and have my ram in 1200 to 1250 range, do i need to fill out a bios template, or can you suggest some settings for me, right now im all stock.

Would be a good idea to update BIOS to latest vers. if it's not already updated.
500+ MHz FSB may not be an easy task to get stable 450 should be easier.
What is the CPU stepping and cooling solution?
Please fill the system specs in your forum profile.

E8400, dont know the stepping. Cooling is aftermarket, have to look and see what cooler i have. 500 + is easly doable on this board all day long.

The "Revision" in CPU-Z will tell you what stepping it is.
Trust me, it's not going to be easy to do 500+. A good board can do over 600MHz, but it's not easy to do.
Basically, do not leave Vcore, CPU PLL, and VTT on auto, always have them manually set, normal or a value.
Try the following changes, load optimized defaults first:
                  Code:
                  CPU Clock Ratio ---------------------- : [8]
                  Fine CPU Clock Ratio ----------------- : [0.0]

I thought it shoud be easy. Didnt get an answer about the stepping and BIOS version yet.
Try with SMM 2.40B instead 2.66D, and tRD(Static tRead Value) 9.

I would strongly recommend that you try lower overclock first then work your way up to 500FSB, try something like 400 first. Then make sure you run some stablity test like Prime95 or LinX to make sure the system is stable before moving on to a higher FSB.

Also we are still waiting to hear what Stepping CPU have. I believe there are 2 steppings of that CPU, either a C0 and E0 and this will make a difference in how well the cpu will overclock. If its the eariler version C0 it might still do 500FSB but will require higher voltages.

You can find this info out by downloading and running CPU-z and post a screen shot for us.
