My board keeps going back and setting cpu to 1.86 mgz, it same problem as before it wont take my overclock settings. I have taken out the battery, cleared cmos like 5 times and it is stuck on its own settings, i can change fsb, memory speed nothing??????????????

How long have you left it to clear, perhaps you just need to do it longer.
Can it run at it's default?

Hey Lsdmeasap what do u think of this board for my upgrade, i might be able to pick it up off ebay for $75, its 3 months old.

GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3 - GA-890FXA-UD5 (rev. 3.0) Do you know if its a good overclocking board ?

Well i have a socket 775 board, im updating to the board above in the link, and probally put a x4 965 black into it.

My other question is with that amd board can i run raid 0 with my raptors ?

It should but dont expect to save the data on them.

You want memory overclocking right? If so, then you'd be better off looking at Intel P67/Z68/Z77 then, you'll get MUCH better performance with those and higher overclockability for the memory and CPU.

Ok thanks, now just recommend me a good clocking p67 gigabyte board that wont break my wallet. Im willing to do $120 for a used board if i can get one for that.

Why looking for P67/Z68?
I paid my new Z77X-D3H $135 (as here didn't sale UD3H and UD5H and Sniper 3 delay) and for sure is better that any of above boards.

Ya, I agree, and also recommended Z77 boards too! Just not sure how much those new CPU's are going to cost, but of course he could always use 2500K on it if he wanted!

Yeah the boards are cheap, but the i7 processor isnt. There are very few i7 2500k even on ebay at all, loads of 2600k.

That p45 ud3p is version 1.0, you refered me to, is that ok, the last rev 1.6 do all the revisions clock the same ?
