    Thank you for your reply.

I did test each individual Ram module and they are all good in my old mobo(Asus P6T SE), but when I put all 12GB in,and turn on my computer for the first time of the day, it boot up with 8GB of RAM at cold boot, if I cold boot again within 10 minutes it will show up all 12GB. The Intel specification says it only supports one module in each channel when use 1600 RAMs. I think that where the problem came from.

Its on simple SS Vapor a step above good water in most cases , but I will be going to AIR with the chips as well sooner or later but I do enjoy having a bit better cooling for testing.

My SS is setup for 24/7 usage as any PC as well VS LN2 which is for one shot benching to the extreme including frying chips not my game.

Maybe in the next 2 weeks Ill get on AIR.

I am new here an this is my first post. I've got my system on ASUS P6T SE, but it boot up with 8GB of RAM at cold boot, if I cold boot again within 10 minutes, it will show up all 12GB. So I RMA it and my UD7 is on it's way.

Just wondering if anyone here using 12GB of 1600 RAM on this board?
                      my RAM is :
                      Corsair Dominator CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 - 12GB (6x2GB) DDR3 12800 (1600), CAS 8, XMP, DHX, Fan
I have a UD7 board, i7-920 and 12GB of Corsair RAM. I am experiencing the exact problem too. I have reseated my CPU & RAM and still, first cold boot of the day leaves me with 8GB @1066Mhz. A few warm boots and all is good. Any help would be appreciated.

Other than that, this system is stable with no issues.

                        Hey,
I'm planning on using this board in my next build, but see a lot of problems with people not being able to run their ram at spec.
I was going to get the Kingston HyperX T1 2000Mhz 6b kit, but not sure it's actually going to work on this board. Has anyone here been using that ram or do any of you know if it's going to give me problems?
Would I be just as well off with a good set of 1600mhz ram?

You need to run with pretty high Vtt. The amount needed will vary with CPU. Depending what levels you need it might not be practical to run 24/7, but ok for bencjing.

                            good set of 1600mhz ram
will be cheaper, though there's nothing to stop you running a 2000Mhz 6b kit with tighter timimngs at 1600 or so.

I ordered a Xeon W3520 for the processor just because everyones got the i7 920, but I see a few guys here have the Xeon as well. lol

Think that's best choice re ram.
Be interested to see how that xeon runs , as you say there are a few running them.
