    Hi! killahertz,
See you are achieving low temps with your board myUD7 with i7 975 is running in the 90's under load idles low 70's..using standard Intel fan...Still playing around with it only a few days since build...What is your CPU and Cooling?
    Thanks

Ya, sounds like something in the 1050 is causing a compatibility issue. I would suggest your report your testing and the reports here to both companies as a FYI.

Enermax of course will tell you this is not possible, or not a problem until more people report it though, but at least you will be letting them know. Same thing happened with a PSU for X58, don't remember which but they denied it for a long time until finally admitting it and revising the PSU.

        Re: GA-X58A-UD7 - *Non-Official Thread*

        Thanks for your reply,
Yeh I see that about the 1050 my spec is

        MB..GIG.X58-UD7
CPU.. Intel i7 975 with std intel fan,
RAM.. 3x2g kingston (another 3x2 to put in when sys stable)
        PSU.. Thermaltake 750w Qfan W0203
        Video cd... Gig. HD5750
        HD's.. 1x250 Corsair SSD..1x1.5TB Seagate..1x500g Seagate
        DVD Burner..DRW-2014LIT
        Card Reader.. Std front panel
        Case..Thermaltake Soprano Fx

I have much the same spec in another comp. using GIG-X38T-DQ6..CPU.QX9650..Therm.650w psu.. same case.. same hd,s ..4x1g ram..Vid. Cd. Nvidia 8600..same burner..same cd reader....very stable..Temp..idles approx high 30,s peaks mid 50,s
I am thinking that the trouble might be the std Intel fan (seems smaller than the other RIG) and have ordered a Zalman CNPS9700 with adapter
PSU should be big enough on that spec...buttttt! any thoughts?
        Thanks,

          So anyone else using a Noctua NH-U12P on a 920, with a UD7?

Im interested in temps, as my chip seems to run really hot for the cooler that is on it, curretnly @ 3.8ghz (19x200) with 1.25v on the cpu core.

I have a differential of 9 deg between core 1 and core 4, this seems excessive, anyone have any suggestions?

Im thinking a Heatsink re-seat maybe in order.

if you can get your vcore to run lower with your D0 at 3.8 stable, you should get better temps and the die temp difference shouldnt be so bad. :)

              Hi Guys

Thinking of buying this Board for new system build. Would appreciate it if someone would comment or give their impressions on the chipset cooler using only the heat pipe, water block or both. Thanks

Just out of interest what temps do you get with your NH-U12P?

I see you are at stock, when i got my PC, i couldnt even run linpak on the stock cooler without it going past 80 degs, at stock clocks.

Ok. I went and read through all the posts here on this thread hoping maybe someone discussed the new marvel 6gb raid controller on this new "A" Advance board....but noooooooooooo.

Currently I have yet to find a review on your intel controller vs the marvel one to see if it's worth getting the "A" board for just that?

Even though I'm not intel, they make an "A" version of my board as well, and the SB750 raid controller is slow, just wondering how the marvel controller compares to your already fast intel controller would be a nice review.

                  Thanks

                      Thanks Baldman

All that knowledge you have, must of fried your hair off.

Now I know not to waste my money on that and maybe just get a good (real) RAID Controller card.

                      Thanks again,

According to tony on the OCZ ssd forums we can run 3x SSDs on IC10H before needing a raid card. (which in all seriousness is way more than the average PC enthusiast needs)

So anyone got some temps for me?

I would like to compare, as i think there is something up with my mount of my heatsink.

It seems to droop a little, making me think thats why core 1 and 2 are much hotter than 3 and 4.

Core are not going to be the same most of the time, as they are always working on different things, and your heatsink and IHS are often convex so things do not line up perfectly.

How large are your core differences at idle? If more than 10C then you may need to reseat your CPU a few times, or think about Lapping one or both

Yeah, i get how the cores can be different. so far i have seen a 9 deg differential between 1 and 4 at load. ie 79 on core 1 and 70 on core 4, just seems excessive. So I will deffinately re-seat the Cooler tonight.

And i think it is the IHS of my CPU that is the issue it didnt look all that flat when i placed the cooler the first time, but i cannot lap it for the warranty side of things.

Luckily enough i build PC's for people quite often so when the next one gets done ill just swap CPU's.

yes, it's better. I am able to boot into Windows with a BCLK frequency of 218MHz.
I tryed 220 but still no go. Diagnostic code = C1.
there is a new option called "Dynamic Vcore (DVID)".
