Hey guys I tried the new f10i BIOS... It has a quick boot option, which seems to speed up the boot process.. sweet..

Seems stable at stock speeds.. now to test it's overclocking potential.

F10i seems identical in OCing to F10f. I still need less MCH Ref than with any other BIOS version etc.

The Quickboot feature's not bad, only saves a second or so though, the DMI Pool Data screen never hung around for long anyway.

What, new BIOS? I haven't noticed!
        Gotta check it.

Lol this thread made my brain unstable on Prime blend (with overflow laughing error). On a serious note, running more than 12/24h any test is merely useless. I'll post my 550fsb results later
Edit: Here we go, it was 3h+ stable on Small FFTs and some ~800% on windows memtest (got a few errors after that) with F9 bios (gonna try the new one and the memtest86).

Agreed. For general computing, a 24 hour Prime blend is an extremely thorough test indeed. I recommend 12 hours only to 99% of people.

The only time I've run more is for one customer who was very obsessed with Folding@Home (a noble cause IMO). For his rig I Primed for three days, ran 100 IBT loops, 24 hours of OCCT and a seperate 24 hour Memtest run. This is simply because sending corrupt data to a project like that can waste precious time that could be used to help cure nasty diseases etc. In this case it was definitely an exception. Also ran Furmark for the same 3 days (on a normal slightly gentle setting @1024x768) as he was GPU folding too.

To reinforce how "dangerous" to hardware intense stress can be, the mentioned customr has gotten through 4 8800GTX's, a couple of GTS, three 8800GT's and a 9800GT. They all failed after ~2 months constant folding or so. On one card it was found to be an ancillary component (a capacitor) but the others were GPU deaths from sustained full load and heat. Just goes to show that GPU's are rated for high heat only because NV/ATI expect the card to be used a few hours a day max (2-8 hrs maybe) in heavy 3D.

Be sure to use F10j guys as F10i has vendor ID/activation issues for some people.
