Re: GA-P45-UD3P and SSD AHCI BIOS issue
As rbmorse said, it could possibly have been something that was wrong on the SSD. Either a slightly invalid/non-standard boot sector or other low level section of the disk etc. The Z68 board would have a different AHCI BIOS implementation/version...

Re: Ga Ep45 UD3P rev 1.0 Bios assistance
Yep, I had two 4850's running on a UD3P for over a year with no problems.
The board is Crossfire certified. No need for it to be on any kind of list. As long as you have a Crosfire certified board, any Crossfire enabled cards will...

Re: Need sli/system help please
Top of the loine cards only really drop in price as retailers clear old stock. The mid/mid-high end market is where the real price wars happen. You may actually be better off buying a lower end Keppler/HD7000 than a 580 at the next major GPU release....

Re: Need sli/system help please
You'll get no where near three 470's with your 250's, the former setup will chew them up in disgust at the comparative puniness of them.
Changing your RAM was probably a bit of a waste of time in terms of frame rate gains. Your GTS 250's...

Re: Which USB port are 3x Powered on x-58 ud7 ver1.0 ?
The On/OFF Charge USB header will have a red backing (the part containing the "USB" label). It takes its power from the +5V Standby rail of the PSU, which is always powered, hence the reason that it can charge a device when...

Re: Does Gigabyte have real PCI-E Gen 3 Support??
It's not a question of whether or not "he" knows.
It's front page news on Tweaktown. MSI have outed Gigabyte for it. They don't need an Ivy Bridge CPU. PCIe Gen 3 requires certain components to be rated differently...Last edited by Psycho101; 09-09-2011, 07:21 PM.

Re: Does Gigabyte have real PCI-E Gen 3 Support??
There are PCIe SSD's that are currently capped by a 16x PCIe slot.
Just because you can't see a use for something, doesn't mean someone else can't.
P55 chipsets have 4 PCIe 1.0 lanes on the southbridge and...

Re: Does Gigabyte have real PCI-E Gen 3 Support??
Not sure what you mean Chike.
As it's a completely different standard in terms of transfer rate, yes, a n 8x 3.0 slot will deliver the same as a 16x 2.0/2.1 slot. However, this story stems from the fact that Gigabyte's wording...

Re: MSI N460GTX Hawk (1GB) Overclocking Results
It'd be cheaper to grab 4GB, unless you're definitely going to be recycling it later into another PC, Jim.
According to my Power metre, My PC draws a shade over 550W at full GPU load in Heaven and around 460-530W in most games,...Last edited by Psycho101; 09-07-2011, 05:08 PM.

Re: Does Gigabyte have real PCI-E Gen 3 Support??
Nothing to do with 2011 Wazza. MSI is refering to currently available socket 1155 boards that claim "Ready for Native PCIe 3.0" on the box, when in fact they have zero in the way of PCIe3.0 functionality, including the wrong...
