Re: Memory Timings Explained W/ Suggested Timings & Memset VS. BIOS
No such or similar timings in advanced and channel a/b settings, in DFI mobos you can directly change them, in GB maybe some other timings affect them.
No announcement yet.

Re: Memory Timings Explained W/ Suggested Timings & Memset VS. BIOS
I've always wanted to ask is there way to set up all precharge to activate and all precharge to refresh timings on Gigabyte boards (UD series to be more specific). Are they dependant on other timings?

Re: Help me OC my E8400
Dont be scared to bump up VTT or PLL, I use 1.59 PLL for 24/7 and no degradation at all (some go as high as 1.75 but I wouldnt do that for 24/7).
If one cores fails it would need more vCore (sometimes up one notch VTT).

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
I've seen it on EP45-DS3P and on most, if not all P45 DFI boards. I doubt that the UD voltage regulator IC is inferior to DS one. I also mean some extreme 4+, sth like 4.5-4.6ghz frequencies Also Quads benefit lot from it (reduced vCore)....

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
I'd really love to see the Cpu Refference 2 setting in the next P45 UD3 bioses, as it will bring some stabilisation at higher speeds (esp. 4+ghz).

Re: UD3P and Q9550 Overclock Problems
I'd go up one notch on PLL and just in case set PL to 10 (might need some high vMCH for lower PL).

profJim can you confirm if these affect stability in any way?
- ICH Core = 1.20
- HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability = Disabled

Re: UD3P and Q9550 Overclock Problems
Ken429, I'd tweak the Refference voltages (0.8 cpu or around that at default VTT should work well with Quads, also you should try tweaking the mch one). Hanging most of the time means not enough VTT or/and PLL voltages.

Kick, I'm hapilly...

Re: GA-EP45-UD3P - Won't boot with 450FSB
Lol this thread made my brain unstable on Prime blend (with overflow laughing error). On a serious note, running more than 12/24h any test is merely useless. I'll post my 550fsb results later
Edit: Here we go, it was 3h+...Last edited by Eek; 12-02-2009, 07:26 AM.

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
160ns sounds like you're running in a single channel mode or some very loose timings. You might wanna try erasing DMI data.

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
My tests show no such thing as decrease in performance compared to f10f , so far there is no difference in oc, but I'm still going....
