Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
Yeh i did after seeing there was new firmware :)
Speeds are about the same according to my benchmarks.
Edit: After doing a few more tests, it would seem that the new sata3 drivers are actually slower than whichever was on previously when i was using F6 Test 1 BIOS from HiCookie. Hopefully something that will be addressed in the next BIOS.Last edited by SB420; 04-18-2010, 11:10 PM.

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
The file is fine, I just tested for you guys. Flashed from F7c
Checksum DE00
I have seen this message you mention with known working BIOS too.
Sometimes this is caused by the file being inside a extra folder in the USB drive, so put the file in the root directory of the USB and try again.
If it is already in the root directory put it in a folder on the USB and try again.
If that all fails, clear your temp files and cache files then download again and save to a different location.
The BIOS itself is fine, except PWM features from previous BIOS are not there for anyone whom that matters to.
Or you may need to flash from F7c?

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
A log on changes would be good :)
Is it always a case of having to flash to see what the new version may or may not bring?
If it has a fix on the sata3 driver speeds, ill flash.... if it hasnt..... ill wait as im guessing it wont be long before a new version will be out? *wink wink*

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
Don't know if anyone else noticed this, but f14b for UD4P which is supposed to fix G19 issue, has better CPU voltage control. 1.36250v with LLC off gave 1.296v load and now that same setting gives 1.328v load. Vdroop is also much less, actually its almost non existent, and this is with LLC off.
