• Re: Welcome to GIGABYTE Technical Support!

My Ram type: KINGSTON HyperX 4096Mb DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 XMP KIT
KHX1600C9D3LK2/4GX

Max. 1,4V QPI/Vtt ? Not too high? (to risk...)

Anyway ....

Low voltage does not go, then go to 1700 MHz 1,5V 9-9-9-27

Thanks, I'll leave here ....

Thx.

Yes, Intel increased max QPI voltage to 1.4V, you still have to keep Dram voltage within .5v of the QPI Voltage though.

You may be right, those sticks may not work properly with that board. They are on the QVL list though, so maybe you have a faulty set of modules?

That wrong it i don't know, the tests, daylong did not manifest a mistake (Memtest)...

Runs steadily on the other hand on 1700, will be left so...

Thank you for your help until now.

• Missing a backplate :(

I've been storing parts while waiting to build a HPTC box, and now that I've come to put it together, I'm missing the backplate from my motherboard

The board is a GA-EG43M-S2H is it possible to buy a replacement backplate from Gigabyte?

Does 2+4 work? Just checking to be sure if maybe slot 2 is bad

Does your board have tRD (Static tRead Value) setting? If so set this manually, to a higher value then what you see used in windows when you use single channel.

Check with memset to see what auto is using, then raise this and shut down and put the sticks in the way you intended.

I am not very familar with AMD motherboards, so not sure if you should be able to use 2 by itself or with 2+4 only?

You should make a new thread about this issue, and hopefully Artdrivers will help you on it. He will know for sure if you should be able to use 2 either way, be sure you put your motherboard model in the thread title so he sees it.

Your manual indicates 1+2 or 3+4 for dual channel, recommending only 1+2 if using 2 sticks of memory. It may or may not work with 2+4 single channel, artdrivers would be able to say for sure.

Is your memory on the QVL list for this board, or do you know it to be for sure compatible from some other users or indications anywhere? Just checking that this isn't an issue

Running the x58a-Ud5. I have two OCZ Agility 2 120b SSD drive. In real world would it better to run them in RAID 0 or alone. My thoughts are one for OS and app. and the other for my games. Or just use one for OS and apps. Because I will be running 4 WD640 blks in RAID 10 for Itunes and movies. I also have a 2TB for backup. Thoughts and help.
