  • Re: Welcome to GIGABYTE Technical Support!

PS - My issue (http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/welc...tml#post355363) with the LED overvolt light seems to have fixed itself. It's now off, even though I'm still running my memory at 8-8-8-21-1 1600MHz @1.64 volts! Hmmmm???

BTW I've also set all my voltages manually, could this have something to do with the LED light in the first place?

    Just a thought.

Hmm, that should reset it self if you change plans then set plan back to balanced, but maybe not? Anyhow, you got it!

Yes, that may be why your LED's were on, depending on which you are talking about, Auto voltages can often set them way to high

        Hey Lsdmeasap,

Thanks for the help. All good now.

BTW this is my first truely tweakable board, been mainly dealing with Intel, so there is a slight learning cure with regards to the BIOS settings. Finally got it set up to my liking (for now).

        Thanks.

          • EP35c-DS3R Strange Display problem during Boot

            I am using:
            Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R (BIOS ver. F4)
            Intel core 2 quad Q8200
            DDR3 (667MHz) Single channel 2GB Kingston Memory
            Graphics:Nvdia GeForce 9400GT revision C1

[while CPU-Z shows in the 'Mainboard' Tab:-
            Graphics Interface
            Version: PCI-Express
Link width: x1 Max. supported: x16]

            LG Studioworks 700E monitor
            500 GB Seagate HDD

            My Problem is:
When I press the power button of my PC it starts(as I can hear cpu fan sound & see power,HDD lights) but no display till 10seconds and at 10sec a long 1sec lasting beep comes no display till now.. and the display does not comes within 5min if waited.
But at 10sec when the long beep comes if I press the 'REBOOT' button on my PC it reboots after 5-10sec of pressing the reboot button(as the power light & HDD light turns off and then again turns on) and within 2-3sec I hear a short beep and the display comes and the windows XP loads normally and creates no problem till I shutdown. But after shuttdown if I want to turn on the PC the same thing happens, I have to wait 10secs then the long 1sec beep comes after I hear the long beep I have to press the 'REBOOT' button of my PC then after 2-3sec I hear the short beep and the OS loads normally.

Can you suggest me why I am facing this kind of startup problems during boot?
            Thanks in advance..

Built this computer last weeck, everything was fine but installing OS Windows 7 64 bits, suddendly shuts down, the power led was on, but fans, cpu fan, HDD, everything went off, the power, reset and bios leds in the motherboards stayed on and pressing the power button nothing happened, so i disconnected de power cable and reconect it and pressing the power button again everything went normal, i didnt liked windows 7 so i decided to install windows xp 64 bit and same thing happened during installation, it went off again, i started over the installation and finished it well. Correctly installed aplications like adobe cs4, office, antivirus, etc, then connect my older 500Gb HDD(1 year used), started up and when windows started the computer again shut it down again whit the leds on even the motherboard leds, no display image like if the computer were off just leds on, again pulled off the power cable and reconnect it, and again goes normal. I checked the temperature in every case, after rebooting and was CPU 50c system 43c today launch adobe premiere cs4 and system hangs, it happended 3 times today,so what it could be and how to fix it

Please make a new thread with your issue, and be sure to put the motherboard name in the title.

Sounds like you need to get the right settings entered into the BIOS for your hardware is all.

I can't help much with AMD, that is why I asked you to make a new thread with all your info, this way our AMD guru (Artdrivers) will see your post and offer you some advice.

What? That should not happen, I bet that is related to something else entirely

Only thing I can suggest you do is try system restore to an earlier point

                                Ahh cool to hear!!

Now, I do think you can install the latest INF's again, because I really don't think that should have caused the issues you mentioned.

You will be fine, and if it actually does cause the issue again you can just roll back using system restore again. I think it was probably something else though.
