      No much time to play...yet......

Z87 has multi up to 2933 (Z77 up to 3200 !!)...so any higher value, must increase divider or BCLK.

      Edit:
      You using outdated AIDA64 !
And must be "golden" batch Haswell to run above...5GHz on air.

well this new LinX 0.6.5 with linpack 11.0.5.009 is hammering my cpu. Was running LinX 0.6.4 with last linpack that worked with it. Was good with 1.21v up till 4.2ghz, 4.5ghz im up to 1.330v and I still testing. I think I found one of my other voltages to low so I might be able to lower vcore. I might be able to break 200 gflops at 4.5ghz I am getting around 189 192 ish.

Have you run the new Prime 95 beta? Zowieeeeeee.......it put another 10* on my cores.

So I did the only logical thing I could do. DELIDDED, BABY! This time for grins I did the "vise and wood" method. Don't have any numbers yet as I still have system down working on a new light panel.

                      OBTW, good job Ace!

With new LinX I am strugiling to get 4.7ghz. I tried all the way up to 1.450v and still crashes when cpu its full load. One thing I notice is that Temp is more effected by voltage then it is by cpu speed. At 4.5ghz with 1.33v core are at the same temp as they were when I was 4.7ghz with 1.330v testing with old linX.

A very novice question, as I still don't grasp much of the OC guide. Is setting CPU core ratio only to 42 significant for OC (over the stock 34), w/o touching voltage or any other settings? I don't have intentions of OC'g memory w/c is just currently in XMP. Am I getting any advantage, or just better leaving it to stock 34? Thanks.

Not sure if I fully understand your question, but yes setting 42x cpu multi will be better over stock. I am not sure if you can set cpu multi to 42x with out touching any voltages. It should do it but the bios may over volt if voltages are left on auto as posed to manually setting voltages.

You will always get more performance from a cpu then you will get from memory. If I test ram at 2800mhz vs 2133mhz the gflop difference is probably about 2-4 gflops different. yet raising from 4.2ghz to 4.5ghz will give you something like 10 or so gflops. These are just rough estimates not true numbers.
