Will it load with Windows and apply settings? That's what I like about CCC except I can barely OC with it. But thanks, I'll definitely check it out!

I just tried to the Asus Gpu tweak, after restart i get the error fail to load dll's please install VGS driver. with is for the latest beta. Trixxx and msi after burner work for me.

i think asus has boobytrapped it to not work on gigabyte boards

I guess I could try Trixx. I used to use it with my 6850's but for some reason I quit using it. Don't know why MSI doesn't work for me, and if the Asus soft only works on Asus boards I won't even try it. Wish they would make the PowerColor OC utility to load on Win startup, it works really good with my card. If CCC gave some decent voltage adjustments it would be OK, as it works for the clock and memory.
I'll try removing/reinstalling Afterburner and if it still doesn't work I'll try Trixx.

Uninstalled/reinstalled Afterburner and now it's working. Getting into 40c territory now at 1.062v. What does the power setting in Afterburner do? Seems if it's applying the voltage the power increase should come with it?
Not sure about max safe voltage, need to do some checking before I max the card out. I'm relieved that the card performs better than what I could get out of CCC, I was starting to wonder if I got a crappy one. Graphics OC is fairly new to me, still trying to figure it all out.

The 2600MHz scores aren't great, but his 3770K cpu is not overclocked.

The tertiary timings which Sin0822 originally posted and coolhandluke41 used are the entire cause of the low performance score. If using those timings, you'll see little improvement in read/write/copy speeds even with high CPU overclocks. Memory overclocking is one of those things where high frequency with tight timings can offer better performance than extreme frequency with horrible timings. A balance needs to be struck in order to maximize performance without exceeding the electrical limitations of the RAM itself, which with this 30nm Samsung memory is more of a concern than expensive overclocking RAM.

We've been waiting for you to install it first.
I personally don't use any of the Creative stuff, but I might install it just for grins to see what's up with it. Using just the latest Realtek drivers on all my machines, plus the ATI HDMI driver on my HTPC.

I need to find out for sure. Some say as long as it's not over heating, some say don't go past X voltage. So far I've only had mine to 1.100v /1120 core / 1370 memory. That got me just over 9000 in 3DMark 11.

Read several HD 7950 reviews and see what voltages they were able to use.
HARDOCP - Overclocking - Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 OC Video Card Review mentions 1.25 volts.

personally i wouldnt go above 1.2v,you should be able to hit 1200mhz on the core if youve got a decent card,load gpu-z up and right click on it and see what your asic quality is,this is not 100% guarantee of a good clocking card though

you should be able to reach 10k+ scores in 3dmark11

that soundchip supports newer modes,there was a list i forgot where i saw it,so those creative drivers will be for that

Looks like they weren't able to take the Sapphire 7950 very high. I've had my OC way past theirs, although their memory clock is way higher that what I've got so far. I'll play some more with it when I get time.
