Gosh, I read that one wrong,

I just F8 into Q-Flash. There is an option to back it up, and then where to back it up to, I chose my flash drive and hit enter. The flip-switch to what ever and F8 into Q-flash and drill to it.

Sorry if I'm way off base, I'll be bowing out now.

      On the UD5H - F9q......

The only thing I seen a tad off is when going to choose the boot order it will not have my main OS HDD (RAID1) in the list.
I tried booting a few times to see if it would take. It listed my DVD 1st and then other stuff but my OS HDD was still not in the list.
So I went in to a category under that (Hard drive BBS priorities) where it lists them all. I then moved my OS to the top of that list and it was then made available in the Boot option priorities list.

Replying with answer to my own post...... I Read the Freaking Manual and on page 53 paragraph 1, it explains why my OS drive was not in the boot order selection list. I did what it said and wala!

            I RTM, but I don't think I got a copy of the FM, so I can't RTFM.
After I load a new BIOS I usually have to boot a few times to get it to see the Windows Boot Manager, just seems normal with both my boards. IDK.

Kinda quiet now so I thought I would share. The UD5H has had its share of complaints about USB ports. I have learned to like and use event viewer to monitor and track things down. I have seen this error Googled and mistaken as a Hard Drive Error. Including by yours truly.

It will be in the Error category, the "Event ID will be "11", the source will be "Disk", the log will be "System".
The message will be - "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk5\DR5."

The DR in DR5 means Drive Removable. This can happen if you add or remove a drive at a bad time, be a bad drive, or be a bad MoBo USB Driver. Just sayin.

My Mobo went out for RMA riddled with these. The symptoms were Auto play windows appearing at will indicating they were dropping in and out. The board came back with no more of this stuff.

For noobs, noober than myself poking around in here, I'll go on a bit more about stuff I learned the hard way.

Its not always the board. It can be the RAM or a component, or better yet a bad windows install cause by a funky stick of RAM.

By your parts, assemble the minimum and test the RAM with Memtest86+ before loading windows.
Only havbe the OS drive connected.
If you are loading windows on a used HDD, insert the disk and choose "Use recovery tools that can help fix problems starting Windows". Select an operating system to repair. and then click Next >.
Click on Command Prompt and enter format c: /fs:NTFS /p:2. It takes about 5 hours for a 1TB.
Load windows and start the fun stuff.

                        Gnite,

These are the chips on them Hyynix H5TQ2GB3CFR PBC 145WA DTLD4672H3. I was talking with LSD about them and we found links for them doing 2600 - 2800. I cant boot past 2200 but thats better then the samsung which wont boot past 2133. I tried just about everything to get these to boot at 2400. No one ever tells you how much vtt or imc voltage is need, they only show vdimm. WHY?????????
