Welcome.... Just use caution when flashing with the new rom. Make sure you can recover from bad flash. I cant see anything wrong with mod. Just play it safe.

Flash all gone WELL - With a nice speed boost using the 11.6.0.1030 drivers paired with the New Orom on a well used Win 7 Install , Raid samsung 830 SSDs.
It beats both the 3.1.0 xx and the 3.2.0 XX Oroms.

Hi, can i put in a request for the irst-e RAID ROM 3.5.0.1005 to be added to f12c bios for g1 assassin2 please, it must be f12c though, as the newer bios pwm cpu fan speed is to high, its gone from 800rpm to 1200rpm at 30degrees, so i wont be using any bios newer than f12c, would be very much apreciated if someone could add the new rom to f12c for g1 assassin 2 x79, also how do i use 11.6 drivers? how to install them after having installed irst-e drivers?

After flash is complete, shut down fully and switch off PSU, wait one minute and clear CMOS. Then turn on, boot to BIOS and load optimized and save/apply/reboot back to the BIOS. Once in the BIOS again set AHCI settings and Marvell Firmware mode to "Force", then save/apply/reboot and let it load through to windows, before that happens Marvell Firmware will update and board will reboot.*

With 3.5 0.1005 irst-e rom and the latest irst-e driver from intels website, my boot time as improved alot for my g1 assassin2 mobo/pc, at first there wasnt much difference, i installed the irst-e driver 3.5.1.?? rebooted, my pc kind of hanged on a flashing curser like it was installing something(weird), anyway after that i rebooted again and i couldnt beleive how fast it was, didnt even see the welcome screen, logged straight, didnt have to wait for anything to load either, its like i have a ssd installed, all i have is 2 wd blacks in raid 0, never used boot like that, im impressed. UPDATE: Not sure what that slight hang is but seems to happen once or twice on reboots but never from cold start, i think the rom as got spin up problems, im still using it however because its alot faster than previous versions, im just wondering if caching ever worked with the previous versions?

You need to Flash the Separate Marvell Chip with the Updated Firmware if you want to update that.

Preferably with the latest IRST and any other oroms updated that the motherboard uses.
