@microking4u - On some boards it does, yours doesn't. You download the latest official version from intel website http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22194/eng/iata_enu.exe and install it, yes (IRST - help - system report), TRIM doesn't work yet, you need a custom IRST orom for that.

        Skypy,

You are the man! Save me lots of time, I was about to try and mod it myself! ;-) I used your mod for the p45-ds3r and installed the latest RST, I was able to trim my Raid 0 Intel 160GB x2 with the Intel SSD Tool! Very stoked!

        Thanks Again!

        Cheers!

          Hi Skypy,

Although the p45 worked well, looks like I may be having issues with the p35. I reset to factory, then changed back all the settings. I have it set for Raid, but now it is saying during bootup that it is AHCI. I cant adjust the bootable devices in the bios, looks like the BIOS is not seeing the on board RAID to adjust the bootable drives?

I cant boot into my single SSD drive now, I only had one 80gb intel SSD and several standard hard drives that I had in RAID 0.

          Any suggestions?

I believe there might be another modded F14 for when there were issues with some of the Sandforce SSD controllers, wonder if that version would be any different or help?

Hi, I want to get my BIOS to the latest available version before starting to mess about with Win 8. I can find new modified files in this thread for most of the P55 boards, but not the P55A-ud7. Is there a possibility you might provide one for that board?

Hi, thanks for taking the time to help! Unfortunately neither worked, I'm getting the same issue as microking4u - neither of my drives are viewable in the BIOS (hard disk boot priority) and I get a "Disk boot failure, insert system disk" error. I'm running 1 80GB Vertex 3 as my system drivem the 2 3TBs are just for data. I also tried resetting to optimized defaults, which disabled "SATA RAID/AHCI Mode" - setting back to RAID didn't help.

I wonder if the ICH9r is limited to Intel RST RAID ROM v10.1.0.1008?

Or is it a limitation of the P35 and ICH9r combo?

According to Edward over at the Intel forums, ICH9R should be able to see >2TB disks if the OROM is at least 10.5. He also says that controllers before ICH9 are not supported, so hopefully that's a good sign for our boards!

Would it be possible to get these same updates into the GA-P55A-UD4P (Rev 2.0) bios? I've got a Rev 2.0 board, bought a pair of 3TB HDDs for it to run mirrored and just ran into what I guess is called the "746GB problem". Looks like I need the new Intel RAID option ROM in order to see the full 3TB.

                        Thanks!

Hi skypy, the latest F13d mod you made (F13d 10.5.0.1034) runs perfectly! To get it to work I had to do the following:

                            - Update BIOS
                            - Turn off system and disconnect all drives
                            - Boot into BIOS, load optimised defaults, shutdown
                            - Boot into BIOS, set options (inc enabling RAID), shutdown
                            - Boot (making sure USB flash is not inserted), let the DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER appear, shutdown
                            - Reconnect drives, boot up, success!

You've saved me from shelling out for some new components, thanks so much :D

BTW: Is there anywhere I can donate or something to show my appreciation?

Did you try and same procedure with the 11.6 version also?

Would it be possible to get an F14C verson of the latest 11.6 also for the P35-DS3R? I may try it also to see if it works as it seems the 10.5 will most likely work according to Rajveer.

                                Thanks again!!
