    Is it possible for Someone to make an updated modified bios for Gigabyte Z87 OC-Force 10?

    Since I don't actually run windows on this build, doing it myself is more complicated.

    I don't have first hand experience with Xeon 771/775 setups. I helped Luke with his Xeon overclocking with his P35-DS3L and EP45-UD3P systems and stress testing. His biggest hurdle was with significantly higher cpu core temperatures with overclocks up to 4.0GHz. I had a much easier time reaching 4.0GHz with my Q9650/P35-DS4 and Q9550/EP45-UD3P systems.

    A web search using: xeon 775 thread will provide additional information.

    Please create a new thread in the TT Gigabyte forum where we can discuss your system.

    We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs

    Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.
    When you are done editing or creating your hardware list, save the settings.

    Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

    Welcome to the forum.

    Your best approach is to follow this recommendation from Which are the "best" Intel AHCI/RAID drivers?:

    Intel RST drivers v11.2.0.1006 WHQL dated 05/30/2012
    These latest "classical" Intel AHCI/RAID drivers do support all Windows Operating Systems from W2k/XP up to Win10 and are recommended for the following systems:
    • AHCI mode: Good choice for all Intel AHCI systems from ICH7 up to 5-Series Chipsets
    • RAID mode: Probably best choice for all Intel RAID systems from ICH7R up to 7-Series Chipsets (look >here<)
    • Best matching Intel RAID ROM: v11.2.0.1527 (no Intel EFI RaidDriver available)

    Comments:
    • These are the latest "classical" Intel RST AHCI/RAID drivers, which are managing the Intel SATA AHCI/RAID Controller with just 1 single driver named iaStor.sys.
    • "TRIM in RAID0" is supported (Precondition: An actual Intel RAID ROM or EFI RAID "SataDriver" from v11 up is present within the BIOS).
    • Advantages:
    a) They are running absolutely stable and will give the users AHCI/RAID system a very good performance (especially if being used with an SSD RAID0 configuration).
    b) They are usable with all Windows Operating Systems from XP (32/64bit) up.
    • Disadvantages:
    a) Not all features of the newest Intel chipsets are supported.
    b) A matching EFI RAID BIOS module is not available (only valid for RAID users).

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    One of the forum's bios modding magicians should be able to include the v11.2 raid rom and other updated Oroms to the EP45-DQ6's F13d latest bios.
    My EP45-UD3P is running a modded bios, but it's currently using the older 8.9.1 raid Orom so I can't take advantage of trim right now.
    Check out my raid 0 results in Socket 771 Mod Xeon X5460 GA-P35-DS3L Overclock, post #655 - 656.
    Does anyone happen to have a copy of an updated EP45-DQ6 bios? Looking to support >3TB drives and hopefully TRIM.
    zaq999's links no longer work.
    Thanks,
    Thanks, Stasio.
    I already have Intel RST v14.6 installed on Windows 7.
    Now I will update MEI driver.
    You say that my chipset supports RST up to v13.2.
    So will using v14.6 cause any problems?
    I now have v14.6 both in BIOS and in Windows.
    EDIT - Updated MEI driver:
