Leaving tRD(Static tRead Value) result in poor memory performance, 7 should work fine if not then 8.
How come 2.45GHz? My math is off but not by that much, last I heard 400x7 = 2800.

Like this grey area LOL I disable my AV NOD32 and then I can post. May have to post another time in NOD32 forum. Hopefully i will get a bit more help over there.

Changed settings as requested but I thought you said 6 and not 7 or 8 so I got a Overclock error message in the BIOS. I loaded optimised defaults and saved and reset to all recommended values. I am now running 8 in static tRD.

Ran 3Dmark06 this morning and did not get results I expected :( they were improved from the day before but not as good as some I did last year... I narrowed it down to a different driver 182 and now I use the approved 175 driver which is listed on the futuremark webpage. The 182 driver does show up as approved in my other test so I plan on switching back to 182.

I will get some other BM pix up as soon I can. Like Memset and coretemp with P95(later) Maxmem etc..

7 sould work at 400MHz with SMM 2.66 but if you plan to OC more down't worry about it.

Regarding OC ing more, I am happy with this OC so far. I know it can do more but I am testing stability now. just got some more testing done as you can see, sorry i have been busy. By the way what is the memory divider or ratio on this clock 1:1 ?

GFlops are actually better than your baseline. I mean if you scale them down you get more than you had in baseline.

I thought I was supposed to set to highest values and lower one at a time testing as I go? Looks like I have a lot of reading to do right --> http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...ing-guide.html I am sure this guide will work for me if I keep in close contact with you guys.

Also what about these settings for the comming hot weather?
                          CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)____ [Disabled]
                          CPU EIST Function__________ [Disabled]
                          CPU Warning Temperature___ [80oC / 176oF]
You know what I mean right? Making sure if I leave my rig alone it will not overheat LOL
Would these settings just throttle back while the pc is not under load?

After reading some things on the net, I am unsure how high I can go with a EP45-DS3R board.
                          Thanks Madmax

You will be just fine with advanced timings on auto.

I have C1E and EIST enabled(as well as all other states), not much difference in heat when overclocked though.
Only reason for your computer to over heat is fan(s) failure or sudden raise of room temperature.
Core Temp have lots of overheat protection options, better then an alarm that no one would hear.
