No boot with LSI 9265-8i and p67a-ud7-b3
I post this in the gigabyte technical support thread around a week ago, and still haven't any answer, so I post it here.
"Hi, I have problems with my new LSI 9265-8i. I'm using right now an Adaptec 5405Z with 4 Intel X-25M G2 in Raid 0 for boot/system/programs. I want to upgrade to this new LSI with sata 3, but I can't boot at all. It starts, some lights in the controller moves and then it shutdown, after a few seconds it restars and always the same. I remove the card and when I get image appears a legend that prevoius boot could not complete because of the oc failure. Well, that's not the case, the case it doesn't boot for this controller and restarts in a loop. I put this card new today, I try on another old machine, on Asus P5K3 deluxe wifi and it doesn't show image either but it get always on. So, this is a bios problem with the gigabyte or a firmware with the LSI? Anyone with a GA-P67A-UD7-B3 board and LSI card? I have lastest F6 bios. Like I never get image from the card I don't know wich firmware version it could have. I already download the last one from August 2011 from lsi webpage, but like I have no image, I can't do anything more."
Stasio: Hi, I saw you have the same board as mine, I'm reading this posts a since couple of months ago now, and it is easy to check your signature to see if there is a new bios . You change from the F6 bios to a Z68 bios recently, how do you did that? With the @bios, and that's it? Or have to do something else? It can help me to solve my problem? I guess the problem is the physical address location of the lsi boot rom and the mainboard, wich both goes to the same place and that's why I have no image, similar like someone comment about the Intel 11.5 and the marvell running at the same time. Which improvements do you see with the z68 bios instead the F6? Better compatibility? better oc? more stable? better performance? lower temps? anything? Thanks for your help.

Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS
Is there a place to report bios errors? I found 2 problems with the EX58-UD3R v1.6 FK2 bios. The first is that the stock raid rom that comes with it doesn't work and the second is that if you have a usb drive plugged in, it will always attempt to boot off of it regardless of first boot device
