Well, I see absolutely no new features I'd use on my Z77 board. It offers me exactly the same functionality as my rusty P45 one: overclock, enable/disable things, change boot order etc. Are you doing any funky stuff with your computers maybe?

For starters you loose the Windows 8 boot menu and boot to firmware menu options as you cannot install Windows in EFI mode.

thx stasio, i think i will also wait for change log on the G1.Assassin too, loving 12L with 11.6 orom, hope its not reverted back ? Dont want to lose trim.

It was not the F5 version of Ga-Z77X-UP7, the final version? By leaving now F5M.

Ok Resistance was futile, ended up flashing G1 Assassin to 12N, All seems good for the record. Option Oroms still intact, still got 11.6 !

Update:
Just ran some trim Tests with new bios and the new samsung 840 pro firmware - TRIM Still Good on X79 !

Something strange happened when I updated my GA-Z77M-D3H to F14f. The update installed as it was supposed to, but as soon as my computer restarted it was left with a black screen. I had to restart with the "restart" button and then I got a message that it couldn't find a operating system. Then I had to restart it again and it worked, but the process was really weird. Think I watch out next time I install these BETA bioses, but still thank you Stasio for providing these!

i have a z77x-up5 on F11 and boot osx /win8 /linux using uefi works great but have problem with ati 4870 and onboard gfx
always resorce problem with ati card.
however i flashed F12e to the board it has solved the issue of gfx card but now will not boot anything uefi except
windows 8. have gigabyte signed up for this crap microsoft put out about only being able to boot widows 8 with keys paired
or is this just a bug.
i see from motherboard home page on gigabyte it now has windows 8 ready logo but i dont want a board tied to one os on uefi
can anyone shine some light on this
