I just updated my UD9 from F6c (moddded) to F6e (modded) and all is working very good: raid is a little faster detected + overclock setting are working now (had roblems running my 12gb ram @2ghz 7-7-7-24)
I read somewhere that all this bios flashing whether new type or old type chip will start to cause shadowing and therefore corruptions in the bios, eventually leading to a dead board even if you have recovery bios, is this true?

I can only speak from my experience and that is as long as you follow the correct procedures on how to flash the bios; you should be fine. Now we are not talking about flashing a bios 100 times with bios then flash it another 100 time with another or back and fourth 200 times.
Maybe if someone knows for sure but I highly doubt this will happen. Think the bios chip will wear out first before you get Shadowing of other bios.

Ah, thanks for your reply, there doesnt seem to be alot of replying going on lol, i do know that obviously if your flashing your bios over and over again you will get shadowing especially if youv,e done this 100s of times and carry on flashing, i was just wondering if they actually use good quallity chips for bios and that it would actually let you flash say more than 20 times before shadowing appears, because some companies dont expect you to keep flashing your bios therefore not using the best chips they could get so to speak, also theres aguy on gigabyte technical support thats just posted a prob with xpress recovery acting like a major virus, if you know alot about pc's could you go over to that thread and help him out, it seems xpress recovery as rendered is system useless. I just went to download the latest bios from the link on the first page of this thread for the GA-X58A-UD7 V2 and after extracting the file I had a file named AUD7FD13.BIN What program do I use to flash the bios with this file? I am not used to seeing a .BIN file

Take the actual BIOS file, not the AUD7FD13, and put it on a jump drive that is formatted in FAT32. Go into the BIOS and enter the GB Flash utility, it will then allow you to navigate to the BIOS and flash it.
Just wondering why there are no Beta BIOS's for the H61 chipset MB's like the GA-HA65M-UD3H-B3? - Please excuse me if I missed the reason in this very long thread.
According to Gigabyte they fixed [1.Solve press reset button cause system abnormal] in BIOS F5
I still find this MB has a weird (abnormal) Reset. i.e. Pressing the Reset button -
1/ Is not always immediate and it may take up to 20 seconds to reboot
2/ Powers down then reboots but sometimes powers down and reboots again
I remember a previous GB MB I had and this weirdness was eventually solved with a BIOS update.
Hi brutisb,
as you see on the front page,we didn't post BIOS update for H61/65.
ATM,try to avoid using reset button and use power on/off switch instead.
I just ask GB Taiwan,but F5 is latest.
Hope,GBT will issue new BIOS soon.

Additional double check with GB R&D,they send me BetaBIOS F6e.
Bad?:
BIOS has not been uploaded on GB internal server and the reason is probably RAM bug (memory run always at 1333Mhz).
Please check and it has this bug,just flash back to F5.
