Hello all. I have a big problem with my x570 master. This is my music production PC and i have bought an UAD apollo x6 soundcard and 2 UAD pci-e solo cards for my studio. The soundcard needs thunderbolt 3 and i also bought an gigabyte alpine pci-e card for this to work. The soundcard have worked very well till the bios f12f and after this bios i cant get my pc to post after flashing to a new bios. f20, f21, f22, f30 and now also f33i.
I have a master board wich is rev 1.0, see picture. as i have read on forums rev 1.0 shouldent have a socket for thunderbolt, but my board have this. someone told it could be a very early board cus there was an issue about using thb on amd board early on with intel i have heard but amd was forced to remove them until rev 1.1 came. How it is i have this socket on my rev 1.0 board see second picture. When i disconnect the cable from this socket (from motherboard) wich reach the gigabyte alpine card, then i finally could flash my bios to the lates F33i. But i have bought a very expensive UADsoundcard for my music production and this soundcard uses thb. Now i cant start my PC with this thunderbolt cable connected. It doesnt post with this connected. I have tried every bios since 12f (maybe not all betas) but every major one on gigabyte site. 12f works with my motherboard. but there i have the other problem. In this bios the PC dont recognize my 2 other UAD solo pci-e cards. But the soundcard works flawlessly. Maybe the uad pci-e cards problem got fixed now but i took them out and left them in the studio so i cant tell you if these got recognized now. Unfortunatley i took my PC back home for adjust this biosproblem and its not so close to my studio and i easier can make problem search at home with 2 PC:s. Something happened after bios 12f wich my motherboard couldent manage. But anyway i would love to be able to start my PC with the newest bios with THB cable connected as it was with F12F bios. I have post to gigabyte about this but everytime they suggesting something i should try, i post again the result and i takes about a week for every answer from them. Thats why i wanted to try here and ask if you could have any suggestion. Maybe a biossetting i could try. I got an idea today. Do you think it could be possible to disconnect the cable from the alpine ridge and the master MB and anyway get thunderbolt to work? Could it be recognized over just pci-e? unfortunately i cant find out how to post my pictures here :(
I would apreciate any tips i can try out...thanks for reading
