That is a completely normal phenomenon :) You already have a driver, the newest one will have modify/remove the existing installation. Removing it should be safe if you have installer with the newest driver already downloaded.

I managed to do it from device manager and when asked for location of driver, I pointed it to the Win10 folder in the unzipped driver folder and now have the latest version, thanks for your advice, appreciated here.

Also have issues with a Z490 Vision D with an i7-11700K, BIOS using F20d. Never had any issues with my i7-10700K at 5.0 all-core OC using F7c. With F20d and Rocket Lake, I'm experiencing multiple boot loops (sometimes 3 cycles before it works), pauses prior to POST with debug errors 36 and 37, sometimes I get a black screen with a cursor prior to the Gigabyte logo appearing, etc. In HWInfo, my CPU "minimum" core temp sensors zero out, saved the debug log and reported to HWInfo and the author confirms it's not a program issue, that's really what the CPU is reporting.

When I can get into Windows and attempt any form of overclock (something as simple as +1 across all cores or even trying the "CPU Upgrade" set to "Advanced Mode", I can't run multiple loops of CB20 without a BSOD-WATCHDOG error. Doesn't matter if fixed/override voltage set to 1.35, 1.385, 1.4, etc., LLC at High or Turbo.

Ended up getting a "stable" system after I reset the CMOS via battery removal, loading Optimized Settings, Save/Exit (again 2-3 boot attempts), but leaving it at stock settings with the only changes to Above 4G and BAR Enabled, XMP Profile enabled, and NVMe mode to Rocket Lake due to my Samsung 980 PRO. This lead to stability and one-attempt boots, whether cold or warm.

I'm eager to read how "regular" F20 works on everyone's boards (before I jump in and try it).

That is interessting! Nearly the same problem - and also today! I also have a MSI 3080 Gaming X Trio on a Aorus B550 Pro V2 (F13g). One hour ago my system crashed (black screen) and didn't boot anymore (VGA LED on mainboard). Now I'm running an old Radeon HD4890 and everything works again.

Is it something with the MSI card/BIOS/ReBar?

I had a similar experience with my x570 Master and Gigabyte 3080 Eagle.
2-3hours after flashing F33I My screen went black and the computer stop responding,
After rebooting computer got no display (VGA post error) which took me half hour to get back (had to take out NIC from 3rd slot) and after that was getting E6 error with boot (any boot even windows install image from USB).
Reflashed back to original F31o taken the computer apart and reassembled it again and it works again. (Tried this twice before giving up)

BTW there are now released ReBar bios updates for Gigabyte cards.

After this I ordered Dark hero and Master is going to wife's new PC, just to have two running PCS at home in case one gets issues.

Which type of LAN cable you have?.....Cat 5, 5e, 6, 6a, 7, 7a, 8 ?

2.5Gbps...minimum Cat 7

Google...."LAN 2.5G cable max lenght".

2.5Gbps should run fine up to 100m on Cat 5e, cat6 is good for 5Gbps or 55m for 10Gbps.

Of course, it also depends on cable quality, interference, and network device quality. Intel is far better at handling worse signal quality than Realtek.

Hello, I'm new in this forum. I would like to share an issue I encountered with my b550 vision d. I ve been runing without issues with the bios f12 for 2 weeks and updated to f13h 2 days ago because of bluetooth disconnections. The update came well but a d2 code appeared on my mobo which indicates pch initialization error while I don t run into boot issues. Could this be a bug ? Thanks for reading

I can confirm that F20 did not upgrade microcode to 0x3C, FWIW. I did see that stasio posted some utilities and microcode files a page or two back. If I'm feeling adventurous one day this week I will probably attempt to manually patch F20 to the latest microcode available from that repository and see what happens.
