Downloaded 8.002.0612.2012 for Win8 from Gigabyte page:

Can't find Network card after updated driver... Is the UEFI a bit immature? :(

Problem is BIOS is not working at all well for me either in W8, can't properly restart or shut down, and loads of small irritating errors. Those things worked perfectly with your patched UEFI. But can't run without network card, can you? :)

Maybe you can ask guys to insert new Realtek LAN ROM 2.51,as in this BIOS is old (2.46.....dated 03/23/12).

So it's been approximately a month already since I reported the throttling issues on the GA-X79S-UP5 and we have now gone from then F4n beta to F4s beta and there is still no resolution to the throttling problem. This is really taking excessively long and I do not understand why the issue is so complex to resolve. Maybe this is an inherent engineering flaw on the board? I am not understanding why the firmware is so difficult to fix...it's not like Gigabyte does not have access to all version of chips to use for troubleshooting the problem.

When is this going to be resolved? At the very least some progress updates and a bit more proactive communication would be very helpful in easing my frustration. As it stands I paid $350 for a board that is comparable to a $100 board for functionality. So many problems, from throttling, to inability to run RSTe and SAS RAID at the same time, to shortage of shadow memory causing lockups at boot, to inability to run 8 banks at 2133MHz, to not even knowing whether half of the features in the UEFI BIOS even work (they have no effect on anything it seems, but are there for show, like the Amp/Watt limits for the CPU).

Stasio, What's going on with the UEFI's for the P67 UD4, UD5 and UD7 boards ? How come only the low end boards are getting uefi updates?

Hmmm,I think you know.......

From Award to UEFI, BIOS must be flashed with FLASHEFI (included with BIOS) in DOS.
