Well im booting fine with F12K - But also noticed the 11.6 xx orom now even though it was supposed to be 3.5 xx orom, For the record im using the 11.2 xx drivers too - running sweet tbh. Maybe this is something to do with Raid support and Trim for x79 coming into play ? http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...1215-19-04.png

It was a clean install buddy on top of 12k so my system was clean and never seen the 11.6 orom at that time , going to try 12L Now, and see how this switch works.

Ah, that makes sense. I applied F12K to a working system, I guess the drivers were wrong and it crapped out.

You wasnt wrong in using f12k on a working system, the orom should of detected the drivers in use, it was a gigabyte mistake, on demad wasnt working, so they gave us a switch. Vdroop is alot better and the irst-e switch is fantastic, but my cpupwm fans still speed up to 1200rpms at 30degrees wich is crazy, 800rpm was plenty to keep 30dgrees, my system is noisy as hell now.
Before I got ahead with F12l - where do I find this switch to change the IRST to Enterprise and back?
Its actually in the bios / settings now - there is a yellow warning saying that if you change back that you have to re install the system ? Not sure if that's the case though. Would be much better if you could just inject the correct drivers by USB. I will probably try to see what happens though.

Cool, let us know how it goes Snout. My toddler has just decided he doesn't need sleep so my free time has gone from an hour or two a night to zero so I won't be doing any testing for a while.

@ Boe and Pox
Good news guys with x79 and our G1 Assassin 2 boards running F12L Bios.
I have just completed a trim test through 'Fernando at German win-lite forum , CPLO / Dufus Over at station drivers ' AHCI/RAID ROM modules for BIOS modding - already extracted - Seite 3 - BIOS/BIOS-Modding - Win-Lite Forum
I can confirm Trim is working now on my board with the 11.6 Orom and 11.2 drivers !
I will get screenshots soon and post up - I THINK ITS RELEVANT IN THIS FORUM DUE TO THE FANTASTIC GIGABYTE UPDATE TO THE BIOS ! BIG THANKS..
