Lsdmeasap if i`m not mistaken you refer to ctrl+f12 method?
The strange thing is that in power options i have set for the HDs never to sleep.
I don`t like my HDs spin up and down.
Another thing that i noticed concerning the problem with F10e.
I am sure that i can hear the HD that is attached to jmicron controller spin up at some time but it never appears.
Kind of mad that Gigabyte didn't fix the USB Keyboard issue that has been going on since F9d. Oh well, guess I'll have to stay with F9c. :(
What issue is this? I am at F8 now and really want to see if F9 fixes my S3 not working but don't want to do that if my keyboard won't work afterwards. Anyone else upgrade to F9 on the X58 UD4P?
Maybe a stupid question, but a question anyway ... does new F8 final contains all upgrades seen in F8a->F8h or is it restricted to the change log you gave in this post ?
I am running F8b (if I remember well) because I have an issue with F7 and boot on usb. I know it has been solved on F8b, then correction has been "removed" from F8c, and back on d or e.
So will F8 contains the fix for my issue, or not ? I don't understand if the line you wrote is the changelog, or just the line that will be displayed on gigabyte site, inside bios update table
Thanks ;)

F9 seems the same as F9d for the UD4P.
Keyboard is still not working @bootup (doesn't matter whether I enable USB Keyboard in the BIOS or not)
Summary of UD4P Bioses (based on my experience):
F9c keyboard and S3 works.
F9d added the B2B CAS, keyboard doesn't work
F9e looks the same as F9d
F9 final added the XHD, keyboard still doesn't work
Where do I get F9c from? I don't see what good a bios is if you can't use the kb during boot to get back into the bios?? WTF are these guys doing at gigabyte? How could they even release a bios when the kb doesn't work at boot? Madness.

what you can't even boot into the bios at all? Wow guess I really better stick with f9c.
I agree that they seem to have made a big mistake if you can't get into the BIOS at boot.
If you're stuck and want to flash back to a previous version, you may need to use a PS2 keyboard. The issue sounds similar to one with my old MSI NForce 4 board. A BIOS flash left me unable to access the BIOS or choose between Windows 2000 and Windows XP. A PS2 keyboard was the only solution followed by a flash to the previous BIOS version.

You can still get into the BIOS, but you can't even press enter for IDE CDROM or select anything for Windows (Repair, safe mode, etc..)
You can find F9c in the "Previous BetaBios" link above F9 on first page.
Have you reported this to the tech team? If not please do, and let us know what they have to say. Be sure to tell them this is a known issue by many users and link to specific posts about it if you can. I know it is an issue, but you would know better than I which threads at various sites to link them to, so they can see it is a known issue
OK I got a reply back from Antec, they found the problem in early Truepower New powersupplies and have rectified the problem, so I guess its not a Gigabyte or X58 problem after all. Note this PSU is made by Seasonic so maybe they fixed the issue also.

Heck ya. The reason why many of us come to Tweaktown is because of their excellent support for Gigabyte boards (and such). :)
