    Re: ***Official***Z77X-D3H UD3H UD5H Discussion\Owners Club***

My WiFi Share will not work. I have the Bluetooth side of the card working great and it can interface with my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

I also have the WiFi Share Manager drivers installed and device manager shows an "Other Device" as a network controller. When I open the WiFi Share Manager program it says it cannot see the wireless network card. ??
I browse to it, let it go online, uninstall and restart and try again, no good?

Well that's what I wanted to find out, Ace. At this point I don't know if it's any better than just using them for storage.
What do you see as Pros/Cons?
I"ve noticed they put a pile of TIM on graphics cards. When I pulled my 7950 apart to put the water block on I couldn't believe how much there was. Oh, and congrats on getting the board back.

What do you see as Pros/Cons?

        Pros

        1. Speed
        2. Speed
        3. Speed
        4. large storage.

        Cons

        1. No fail safe (lose 1 drive lose all data)
        2. No fail safe

I am sure there are more Pros and Cons but thats all I can think of off the top of my head. I gave up on running Raid0 as my OS or storage drives ass I lost 2 hdd's from BSOD while overclocking. So I do suggest you take them out if you plan to do any overclocking. 2 hdd's that I lost would not work in any computer so it was the drives that took a poop. My single SSD has been working just fine and is faster then 2 hdd's in raid0. Just make sure to keep a constant back up of your data.

lol, no, I thought I wanted it but I don't really need it. Less hassle anyway. I thought I'd lost the Sammys but diskpart resurrected and I'm now reinstalling as AHCI. Now I'll at least be able to use the Samsung utils to keep the disks in top form.
Only real hassle for me is reinstalling Office 2010 pro. Last night I had to call MS twice and talk to people who were clearly having problems retrieving the proper ID numbers and the automated system was fubar. I wish they wouldn't make such a hassle out of reinstalling Office, I don't see what the big deal is it's paid for and legal.

Anyone know why I am unable to use the F12 bootmenu?
I can load that menu by pressing F12 on the keyboard but once it's loaded I can no longer use the mouse or keyboard.

                  I'm using the F9f bios.

I tried plugging in my keyboard+ mouse in every possible USB port to no avail.

Also: the front USB ports of my PC aren't recognized in the Q-Flash menu. I have to use the back USB ports.

Using Corsair K90 keyboard and Logitech G9x (also tried Razer Deathadder) mouse.

It worked when I flashed from F4 to F8 and then to F9f in the Q-Flash menu.

I'll upgrade to the latest bios and let you know tomorrow.

                          *UPDATE*

It seems It would also not work in the Bios if I plugged in my usb peripherals. It's weird though since it worked fine a few days ago.

So i unplugged everything else. Updated to bios F10a and plugged everything in again and it's working again. My front USB ports are even recognized and I can boot to usb via the front USB ports as well now.

                          great stuff.

One last thing that bothers me is that my PC whines a bit at certain times, I have C1 state and all that other power saving stuff enabled.
I even RMAd my PSU and got a new one. It's still the same. Probably the mobo itself?

Well I thought I still had a sleep issue with my RMA's board but it turned out to be the Logitech K350 keyboard. I had to go into device manager under keyboards and do properties on any thing in the list checking the details tab, using Hardware lds and in anything that resembled HID\VID_046D&PID_C52B&REV_1201&MI_00 in the list, move over to its Power management tab and deselect "Allow this device to wake the computer".

Now it will go into sleep but I have to use the mouse to wake it.

Sleep is highly over rated. j/k, I don't ever use sleep. The SSD's don't draw much and the Seagate HDD will snooze all on it's on.
Glad you got it worked out, though.

You're probably right but...my Q9550 system draws ~125W when idle and something less that 1W when sleeping based on the display panel on the APC Back-UPS 1500. The 3570K system uses ~90W when idle and < 4W when sleeping. The difference between the two in S3 state maybe the different monitors? For some reason I've never had a problem with S3 sleep on the GA-Z77X-UD5H system. I had/have S3 issues on the GA-EP45-UD3P and ASUS P8Z68-V Pro systems.
