GA-Z77X-UD5H F16c mod7 (rev1.0 and 1.1)

With :

Intel Legacy RAID for SATA - 12.7.0.1936
Intel UEFI RAID SataDriver - 12.7.0.1936
ME Firmware 8.1.30.1350 to 8.1.40.1416
Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller 2.0.6.6
Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller 2.1.1.5
Intel PCI Accelerated SVGA BIOS 2158 PC 14.34
Intel Boot Agent GE 1.5.35 PXE 2.1 Build 092
Marvell 88SE91xx Adapter - ROM Version 1.0.1.0025
Sandy (06A7) CPU-MicroCode Rev.29
Ivy E1(06A9) CPU-MicroCode Rev.19
Modified splash logo

Don't be afraid, your MB will need to shut down and restart 3 times to apply new settings (instead of 1 time - first long, second very short and third long shutdown/restart).

**NOTE : ME Firmware 8.1.40.1416 should be flashed... oups ... USELESS !
About the Backup BIOS, will the ME Firmware also require updating when using that or is there only one ME Firmware to update that is "shared" by both the Main and Backup BIOS?

You can use ME 8.1.30.* in backup BIOS and ME 8.1.40.* in main BIOS cause ME firmware is stocked in BIOS. I always keep a "rock stable" version in a BIOS when i'm playing with the other...

Hello,

I see a nnew modded bios f14 mod 3 is out for x79 ud3.

I have flashed whit bios f14 mod 2. I see the new bios mod 3 have some news microcode.. I ask you if i can stay whit the mod 2 or you recommand me to flash again my bios.

What is the improvement about new microcodes?

EDIT, i just see that the bios mod 3 have too a new version of the intel boot agent.. (i dont know what is ;p)

Then, what do you think? I have to flash it again? is a big "improvement" from f14 MOD2? Or i can keep whit mod 2?

Most people do not use Intel Boot Agent (PDF)...

I haven't figured out what yet but GA-Z77X-UD5H F16c mod7 (rev1.0 and 1.1) does something funky to my system where it slows the boot into the OS by about 30 seconds and the graphics are really sluggish once booted.

I have now moved to GA-Z77X-UD5H F16c mod6 and things are normal again but does doing this also revert the ME firmware back to 8.1.30.1350?

maybe karateca can use one of these Z77X-D3H mods..

looks same as your mod except ivy bridge microcode is 17 and not 19 as in yours. (do you know bebefits of rev.19?), no mention of sandy microcode.

Btw, I have had problem with Stasio's mod that system doesn't resume from sleep. (black screen, no post). had no time to figure out why. maybe related to microcode 17 (using internal itel gpu) or sata orom.)

Damnit :( Maybe Stasio could help. I certainly don't have it saved anywhere.
