                What is your Intel LAN chip ? If Intel 82579V, did you flash firmware (add "-nosilent" to the command to have info about flashing) ?

                Give your feedback later about F13t mod2 please...

                  @virtualfred:

                  Yes, the 82579V as on all X79 boards of Gigabyte. I ran the flasher and it updated. Odd, I have done that before...and the bug in the thread you pointed me to has nothing to do with my problem.

                  It all started when I used the CSMCore from your board and replaced my UD5 mod's CSMCore with it.

                  Currently my system is still load testing so I have to wait another 90 minutes to see if the nvram flash changed anything
                  And BTW, I did not see the F13t until earlier today, sorry.

                    Okay, here are my observations concerning influence of microcodes on the X79-UD5 board:

                    1= 1.375 VCore, iRST mode
                    2= 1.375 VCore, RSTe mode
                    3= 1.35 VCore, iRST mode
                    4= 1.35 VCore, RSTe mode

                    Tests were done with OCCT 4.3.2 or 4.4.0, 2 hours, 64 bit AVX mode.
                    Switching frequencies have to be set to 750/350/350/auto/auto kHz

                    Code:
                    code|     1       |      2                |    3      |    4
                    ------------------------------------------------------------------
                    070B |    stable   |  d1 BSOD storport.sys |  unstable | d1 BSOD storport.sys
                    070D |    stable   |  stable               |  stable   | stable
                    0710 |    stable   |  stable               |  stable   | stable

                        Could you share the 0710 microcode with us? ^.^ As a separate file for MMTool if possible.

                              Great bios so far, except for one funny bug. I cannot, for the life of me, boot off a usb thumb drive with my ssd plugged in.

                              I've tried setting the appropriate boot sequence in the bios, no go. Tried "f12" at boot and selected the thumb, no go. I've tried countless thumb builds, crucial firmware upgrade, avg rescue cd etc... no go. If I unplug my ssd it will boot off the thumb drives fine. Plug the SSD back in and straight to windows no matter what.

                              Both a friend and I have the same board, with f16c mod5 and both do the same exact thing.

                              Any thoughts?

                                i see one has a jmicro driver and one dont.
                                maybe im suppose to pick one, do both those at the top of the thread work for this board?
                                its using f4d right now
